OnStage at Home Make and Take Alternate Ideas

Here are three ideas to inspire you! I used the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper, Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set, and Penned Flower Dies for my OnStage at Home make and take cards last month.

The card above uses an inlaid technique for the flower bunch. You just die-cut out the images twice and build the bouquet the way you want it. I did put some scotch tape on the back for security.

This card used sponge daubers and ink pads to lightly color the flower image. I had not done this technique before and it took a little practice to keep the ink light and airy.
I am also the type of person who likes even borders, but I went out of my comfort zone and put the papers at interesting angles. It didn't hurt too much LOL!

This card used also used sponge daubers and ink pads to lightly color the flower image.  I think this card is my favorite of the three shared with you today!

Give these ideas a try! Thanks for looking today!

Valentine Card Sneak Peek You Will Love

When I saw the new Sweet Talk Suite in the soon-to-be-released Jan.-June Mini Catalog, my heart went flip-flop! I love everything about this Suite. So vibrant and fun!

The above photo shows the darling Sweet Conversations stamp set and three sneak peeks of the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper (DSP). The fun heart lollipops design makes for a super fun envelope flap decoration!

Start with a Petal Pink card base cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4". The Sweet Talk DSP is cut 2" x 5-1/2. The Real Red cardstock is cut 2-1/4" x 5-1/2". These two strips are raised with dimensionals. The Petal Pink color of the DSP is your typical 4" x 5-1/4" size. Same for the Basic White inner layer.

Each heart on the band was fussy-cut out. The "Yay for Love" sentiment comes from the Happy and Heartfelt stamp set (which I forgot to take a photo of. Just wait you are going to love it! Lots of great greetings and fun word combinations!)

Those Iridescent Rhinestones are so lovely. They really give off the Petal Pink vibe.
The Sweetheart Dies has that great banner flag as part of the Sweetheart Dies set which will work super nicely with many of the greetings in the Happy and Heartfelt stamp set.

I used two more fussy-cut hearts to decorate the card liner along with Real Red ink to stamp the greeting from the Sweet Conversations stamp set.

I hope you love my original card design and will make one similar if you purchase this suite on January 4th through my online store.

You'll be able to make your first Valentines by mid-January. Have fun!

Another Sneak Peek Card for YOU

Today's Sneak Peek combines products from the upcoming Jan.-June Mini Catalog and a freebie from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure.

The Sunshine and Rainbows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) shown above is one of the items you can receive free with a $50 qualifying order (before shipping and tax.) It is so bright and cheery!

My original card design is a Z-fold style card that uses the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP as a "sky" background on the Bermuda Bay cardstock base.

The Kite Delight stamp set has so many possibilities, but I immediately saw a two-color kite with the stamp I used. Bermuda Bay and Magenta Madness inks were used on it. The tail was stamped on another piece of the new DSP and fussy cutout. Both the kite and tail were raised up on mini-dimensionals.

Another view above.

The Z-fold card base is a piece of 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4".
The DSP on the front panel is 1-7/8" x 5-1/4".
The inner DSP is 4" x 5-1/4".

Another new item in the Jan.-June Mini Catalog is the Cloud punch. However I had to dig out my retired Swirls and Curls embossing folder, to give these clouds some dimension. They make me happy!

The rainbow is fussy cut from one of the sheets of the new DSP.

Lastly, I stamped the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on another punched-out cloud.

Inside view- You could add a piece of Basic White for your message on the inside section of the Z-fold, or just sign the card under the rainbow in the lower-left corner. Either way, this card would still be super cute!  Feel free to post a comment about this fun fold or the new products coming out on January 4th.

All the new products will be available to order then on my online store (link below.)

Have a lovely day!

Sneak Peek of New January - June Mini Catalog Products

This In the Moment stamp set was one I received as part of OnStage at Home last month. I haven't been a big fan of these types of sets, but after this card, I'm sharing today, I have changed my mind! I hope you like it too!

I just love fields of flowers, especially tulips! So the new Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP) really spoke to me. I immediately saw the looking-out lady stamp being the perfect one to coordinate with this DSP.  I didn't want to cover up too much of the DSP, but wanted a little torn edge. The lady is the focal point with the use of the Layering Circles Dies. That little scalloped circle of Blackberry Bliss gives it the "pop" it needed.

On the lady's hat is one of the new Brushed Brass Butterflies. Then I couldn't resist trying the Blackberry Bliss 3/8" striped ribbon (retired) folded in half and using the "meat fork" technique to tie the bow, so it would be the proper scale for the image. I just love how it turned out!

The Blackberry Bliss DSP on the envelope flap is very retired, but just what this set needed!

The stamp set, DSP, and the Brass Butterfly embellishment will be available for purchase starting January 4th at my online store.
Thanks for stopping by!

Last Minute Easy Scrappy Holiday Cards

Do you ever purchase something, in my case the Wonderful Snowflakes, then have trouble knowing what to do with them? I was having that problem but luckily my leftover Sale-a-Bration Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) came to the rescue!

Below is the collection of 12 cards I made recently that used up some strips and assorted sizes of pieces of this DSP I had leftover and they combined so nicely with the Wonderful Snowflakes. It is hard to see in the photos, but these snowflakes have a glossy, iridescent sheen to them. So pretty!

To adhere the snowflakes down, just a couple glue dots were used.

The little tags were all die-cut out with the Tailor Made Tags dies using Basic White cardstock.

The two greetings came from retired stamp sets - Curvy Christmas and Happy Scenes.
All were stamped in Real Red ink. The tags were sandwiched between the snowflake and the bow.

The ribbon I used was either the 1/4" Black and White Gingham ribbon
or the 3/8" Real Red Organza ribbon. The bows were attached with Glue Dots.

You may be saying to yourself I only see eleven cards here. I made one pair identical, so I didn't photograph that duplicate.

I hope I've inspired you to be creative with trying to make a variety of cards using your paper scraps. It's so fun to see what results!

Happy Holidays!

Gingerbread and Peppermint Easy Gift Tags

As a demonstrator, we often buy multiple packages of Designer Series Paper because there are one or two sheets we fall in love with. Usually, each 12'" x 12" package only has 2 sheets per package. The 6" x 6" stacks often have between 4 and 6 of the same pattern. If we are planning for a class, multiple sheets are always needed. So what do you do with the rest of the paper in the package? Make tags!

I made over 40 package tags with Kraft Paper and assorted Gingerbread and Peppermint Designer Series Papers. The twine I used is not a Stampin' Up! item, but I had a big spool, so wanted to use some up.

The kraft paper tags are 2" x 4". The Gingerbread and Peppermint Designer Series paper was cut to 1-3/4" x 3-3/4". Using the Gingerbread and Peppermint Dies made quick work of die-cutting the bell, ornament, and snowflake images. Stamp your favorite holiday greeting on Cinnamon Cider cardstock in Real Red ink, then punch out with the Double Oval Punch. Raise both the image and oval up on dimensionals. Use a regular hole punch for the twine to go through at the top.

I was able to group the tags into sets and give them away as thank you gifts to my customers earlier this month. They loved them! You know you don't have to always use them on packages, they can also be tied around the neck of a wine bottle or hand soap dispenser for easy gift giving. So many possibilities! Your friends and family will love the creativity and care that went into these tags. Make a bunch!

Pillow Box Die Table Favors to Make

Stampin' Up!s Pillow Box Die is going to be a keeper for a long, long time in my die collection.  It can be used for many, many things. A table favor filled with candy, to sell at a craft show filled with chapstick, or for gift cards and more!

My sample was made using Kraft paper and a small piece of the Gingerbread and Peppermint Designer Series Paper. The ribbon I used is retired, but any narrow ribbon will do.

I am going to recommend that you use a small 1" circle punch to punch a half circle in each of the end flaps just to make it easier to open if you are using thicker paper.

You can order the pillow box die here.

These three photos are from the July-Dec. 2021 Mini Catalog to help inspire you.

In case you missed my October post about using the pillow box die as a gift card holder, here's the link,

This pillow box die isn't just for Christmas, it can be used all year round! Think about all the possibilities! Once you make one, you won't be able to stop!
