Magnolia Double Bridge and Flip Card

Even though the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set retired last June, I just couldn't resist pulling it off the shelf to create with it once again. I have a special occasion coming up for this card later this week. This design is the Double Bridge and Flip card.

I thought the Magnolia was the perfect focal point and accented the Black and White patterns I used from the current Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. Adding the Basic Black card stock layers gave the card just the POP it needed!

Coloring the Magnolia bloom with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers made the flower come to life. The Thinking of You tag accented with a Petal Pink circle, balances the color of the magnolia nicely.

I love to make sure the envelope flap matches the card for an extra touch of class. Paper size 2-3/8" x 6".

Sneak Peek inside below.

The Bridge portion full open to reveal the next layer!

Card front fully open.

Cutting & Assembly Directions:

Thick Basic White cardstock card base cut 5.5" x 8.5", scored at 4.25".On what will be the front of the card you will measure in from each side 1.25". With your paper trimmer you will slit up to the score line to create each side section. This leaves the middle section 3" wide.

With Basic Black cardstock cut four pieces 1" x 4" and one piece 2.75" x 4". Adhere two pieces to their front sections referring to the first photo above. The other two pieces adhere to the inner portion of the card as shown in the fourth photo.

Select three different Black and White patterns from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper collection.
Cut four pieces 7/8" x  3-7/8" and one piece 2-5/8" x 3-7/8".  Adhere these pieces as shown on the front sections and the inner card sides.

For the Bridge portion - cut one piece Thick Basic White cardstock 1.25" x 5.5" and one piece Basic Black cardstock 1" x 5.5".  Adhere the two pieces together. The Bridge will only be attached to the two front side sections.

With a 4" square piece of Basic White cardstock and using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the Magnolia image. Use the matching Magnolia die to cut out with your die cut machine. Color carefully with the Stampin' Blends. Using Dimensionals affix the Magnolia so it only attaches to the bridge and right side section.

With a scrap of Basic White and Petal Pink cardstock, die cut the two circles for the tag. Stamp the greeting using the Memento Black ink. Adhere layers together. Raise with dimensionals on the left side of the bridge. Add the three embellishments. All Done!

Can you keep a secret? This card is for one of my team members who is celebrating her 10th Stampaversary very soon! I'm so happy for her!

Comments about this design are most appreciated. Leave a little love :-)

Ladybug Hello Card and Hope Decor

Ladybugs are good garden helpers. I love it when they crawl on my hand. Do you?

My intent by creating this ladybug card and hope box set was to bring cheer to a friend who may be going through a tough time. You too could make this set with the supplies I've listed to lift up one of your friends. Or make several sets to have on hand.

The color combination of Daffodil Delight, Basic Black and Poppy Parade really POP together. Replicating the polka dots of the retired embossing folder with the dots on the ladybug is fun! Then having the contrast with the Daffodil Delight Gingham paper and the Black and White Gingham Ribbon work nicely together.

Here's a tip for you to conserve paper. The Scalloped Oval Die cut out from the center of the Poppy Parade cardstock, became the piece of cardstock I used to punch out the scalloped heart with the Heart Punch Pack set.

Here's the Products Used to create this Card:

119683 Daffodil Delight Cardstock $8.75
Card base cut 5/5" x 8.5", scored at 4.25" and scraps for two medium daisy punch outs

Cut layer at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"

119793 Poppy Parade Cardstock $8.75

Save oval cut out to punch with scalloped heart punch

159276 Basic White Cardstock $9.75
For Inner card layer cut at 4" x 5.25" and scrap for heart punch out

Hope Box Wall Decor

I saw an idea of a vertical hanging panel with the word home down it with the ladybug for the O. Then I remembered I had a couple dozen of these little boxes I got at Michael's Craft Store before the pandemic, so I pulled one out for this project. Given the state of the world these days I thought Hope was a better word choice for this project, I'm like my result.

Here's the Products Used to create this Wall Box:

157670 Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper $11.50

This is a Sweet Gift Set for a dear friend!

As a Fun Bonus!

I always provide some type of treat at the stamping table for my customers. Usually it is a paper favor that just could replicate, but I had seen this idea online and just HAD to try it.

The ladies were very complimentary and surprised with their treat.

About These Yummy Treats!

Double Stuffed Oreos are covered with Red Candy Melts and Milk Chocolate with 1/4" sugar candy eyes (should have used 3/8" eyes, would have made them more fun!)

They were placed in Stampin' Up! 3" x 6" Printed Gusseted Cellophane Bags ties with Retired Thick Baker's Twine in Cherry Cobbler. Made a Thick Basic White tray for the cookies to sit on. Starting size were 3" x 4.25", then scored 1/2" on both sides of the length, so finished tray was 2" x 4.25" for the two cookies to sit on.

The tags were 1" strips of Thick Basic White with names done in Calligraphy. The Ladybug brads I  had for ages and decided they would be cute on the tag.

So I hope you will give these projects and treats a try and make someone's day! They are not hard and go together quickly. (Try not to eat too many Oreos while making the treats however!)

The current products listed above are available in my online store at the yellow link below.  Thanks for supporting my business. Have a great day!

Sweet Lamb with Flowering Fields and Pattern Party Designer Papers

Here's another Easter Card that my Stampers made at Class last weekend. This is my original design using some retired products, but the result is darling! Who wouldn't love receiving this darling little lamb in their Easter Basket?

I love how the big tulips in the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper offsets the polka dots from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper set. I flipped the colored doily over to the white side and went from there. I just love how Pool Party and Petal Pink makes such a "soft" looking card.

If you don't have some of the retired products, be creative and fashion a similar layout for your own Easter Card.

Easter Card Idea with a Cute Chick

Do you have memories of watching your children or of yourself going on Easter Egg hunts as a child? I sure do of my children. They loved hunting for eggs out in our yard, but they weren't the best at sharing. We resorted to writing their names on the plastic eggs, so they could find only the ones with their name on them. That's how we could keep it fair. We often added some money in a few of the eggs and they really loved that!

With those memories in mind, I designed this card after being inspired by Terri Gaines fun fold. It is hard to believe Easter will be here in just a few short weeks. It is April 17 this year. So at my Stamp and Chat Classes this past weekend, this is one of the Double Z with Pop Out Fun Fold cards we made.

Fun fold cased from Create with Terri Gaines - her Jan. 22, 2022 post.

The Card base is 5.5" x 11". Score at 1.75", 3.5", 5.25" and 7".

The Designer Series Paper pieces are: 2 pieces at 1.5" x 5.25" and 1 piece 4" x 5.25"

The Pop Out is made from one piece of Basic Black cut 2.5" x 5", scored at 2.5". Two pieces of Basic White are cut 2.25" square.

I changed up her measurement just a bit. The back section of the card, I increased the Basic Black to be 2.5" square with the Basic White piece at 2.25" square, so all the squares are the same size.

In the Moment Girl with Flowering Tulip Fields

Here in western Washington state, up north from where I live, is the town of Mount Vernon. Every spring that town and the surrounding farm fields come alive with daffodils, then tulips. It is always so fun to go see them in person. These photos were from my last trip there several years ago.

See the kites flying in the background? It made the visit all the more festive!

So that was what I was thinking about as I designed this card for you.

Products used and how to make this card:

Petal Pink Cardstock cut 5.5" x 8.5", score at 4.25"

Basic White Cardstock for inner layer cut 4" x 5.25" - adhere inside the card.

Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper cut 4" square with the right side having a torn edge, but only tear a little bit off. Adhere to the card front.

In the Moment Stamp Set - stamp greeting on the card front in the lower left-hand corner with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

On a 3.5" square piece of Basic White - stamp the girl image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Using the Layering Circles Dies - die cut the girl image out with your Cut and Emboss Machine.
With a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock die cut the slightly larger scalloped circle out too.

Using the Blackberry Bliss, Bronze, and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends - color the  girl image.

Adhere both circles together and attach them to the card front with dimensionals.

Using a 7" piece of 3/8" Blackberry Bliss Sheer Ribbon, I used the meat fork ribbon bow tying technique (can find on YouTube) folding the ribbon in half to tie a small bow. With a glue dot, adhere the bow to the back of the dress as shown.

Affix one small Brushed Brass Butterflies to the hat band.

Basic White Envelope with Designer Series Paper on the exterior flap. Cut 2-3/8" x 6" piece, adhere to flap, and trim off the excess with paper snips.

Adhesives - Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Stampin' Seal

Tools - Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Cut & Emboss Machine, Take your Pick tool

Let me know in the comments if this card gives you tulip field memories too!

Springy Kite Delight Friendship Card

Did you ever fly a kite as a child? Weren't those carefree days wonderful?

Running full speed ahead and holding the bottom of your kite to help the wind grab it and lift it higher and higher? Then that feeling of success and pride when your kite started to lift off and take flight into the sky, swaying back and forth, with the tail waggling along?

All at the same time in your hand, you felt the tug of the kite string as you moved your arm to gauge the line tautness and make the decision if you needed to let out more string or not to help your kite soar?

Oh, those were good memories of my childhood. I loved flying a kite in my yard, or at the beach on vacations, both were wonderful! Just me and my kite!

Today I'm sharing with you a design of mine using a Z fun fold to help accentuate the feeling of the kite really flying. The Kite Delight stamp set is so perfect for this.  This stamp set is in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog and available to order at my online store.

Below is the full inside view. As I look at it now I should have added a 1-7/8" x 5.25" strip of Basic White so there would be a place to write a note inside this card.

Below shows you some of the supplies, but especially the Kite Delight stamp set. Look at all those cool kites you can choose from!

Products used and how to make this card:

Bermuda Bay Cardstock - cut 5.5" x 8.5", scored at 2-1/8" and 4.25"

Retired Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper from the Jan.-Feb. 2022 Sale-a-Bration brochure
Two pieces - 1) 1-7/8" x 5.25" and 2) 4" x 5.25"
Fussy cut out one colorful rainbow.

Basic White Cardstock pieces for the clouds and kite image (and the inside panel as I realized above.)

Stamp one piece of Basic White with the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then punch out with the Cloud Punch.

Punch two more clouds with the Cloud Punch from Basic White cardstock, then place them in the Retired Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder and run through your Cut and Emboss Machine.

Kite Delight stamp set - Hint - stamp two kites on Basic White cardstock - one in Bermuda Bay ink and one in Melon Mambo ink. Fussy cut out the Melon Mambo pieces and adhere to the full Bermuda Bay kite as shown in the photo.

With a piece of the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper stamp the kite tail in Melon Mambo ink and carefully fussy cut-out.

Adhesives: Mini Dimensionals and Regular Dimensionals, Stampin' Seal,

Tools: Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips

As you build your card, savor happy memories of kite flying you may have done.
