April 28 and 29 Class Cards

Since everyone is on the countdown to the new Annual Catalog on June 1st. I thought I would revisit a couple stamp sets that I love with my class ladies this coming weekend!

Two cards using the Petal Passion Suite from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.

I cased this card from Liz Shannon's layout but used a different greeting and stamped it in the matching ink of the blends pen. Black and white with Bermuda Bay colored negative space is so gorgeous!

This card was inspired by Sue Vine, but I changed it up a bit. Using the Petal Palette stamp set and the Petals and More Thinlits Dies helps to make this card come alive! Melon Mambo and Whisper White cardstock was used along with the Blends pens to color the roses.

I'm sorry I didn't write down who inspired me for this card layout, but I did change it up a little.
Used the Rose Wonder Stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits and the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack. Color Scheme - Old Olive, Pool Party, and Calypso Coral

To make the rose easier to work with after I cut it out on the Big Shot, I placed the frame on a piece of adhesive sheet, then proceeded to put the pieces back into their places. The one thing I will do different next time, is to color the frame with the blends and wink of stella before I put the pieces back in. Live and learn!  I did go a little crazy placing pearls in each flower center, but I think it really helps the overall look.

This is my most favorite card in quite a while that I cased from Kathleen Herbst. I stamped the rose image with versamark on watercolor paper, and heat embossed the lines using clear embossing powder. Then using the new Brusho Watercolor Crystals, a small water filled squirt bottle and a small paintbrush, this card was the result. When the watercolor paper was finished drying, I stamped the verse in Stazon Ink and finished assembling the card.

This card was a fun case from Dawn Griffith. I wanted to try the little flap with the coffee cup on it.
I did place a little tiny piece of velcro to hold it down.
This card uses the Coffee Cafe Suite of materials found in the 2017 Annual Catalog.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what we will be making in class this weekend.
Have a great day!

March Class Cards in Review

The cards for my March Class were mainly CASED because I was busy with some other projects.

Blossoming Basket stamp set with special Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper and retired ribbon. The basket was gold heat embossed. Cased from Gail Ellis.

The Sweet Little Something stamp set was the focal point for this card and it was so easy to do using the new Stamparatus precision stamping plate. Amy Koenders was the layout designer but I changed up the color scheme and added the enamel heart.

This sympathy card was cased from www.craftyhippy.co.uk
I used the Heart Happiness stamp set and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Denise Carrlson was the designer for this card that I cased. I did make a couple small changes to the daisy centers and adding the bee. The Daisy punch made this card so easy with the Jar of Love stamp set.

I just loved the Lots of Lavender Sale-a-Bration stamp set and I loved how "scraphappenshere-darla.blogspot.com" used the lavender to make wisteria vine. So clever. The birthday greeting is from Perennial Birthday.

True Gentleman Designer Series Paper and the Wood Textures Paper Stack make this card easy to case from Cathy Caine. I used the Labeler Alphabet and the Celebrate You framelits from this year's Sale-A-Bration selection.

Thanks for taking a quick peek.
