May Stamp Camp Card #2

Here's another special find from Pinterest (I just love that site!) is a whitewashing technique using white craft ink and the aqua painter. I just had to try it! I believe the original designer is Amy Koenders  (click here), but shared in more step-by-step details by Sandi MacIver (click here) on Pinterest, so you can see both of their versions compared to mine.

May Stamp Camp Card #1

I just fell in love with Heidi Boos' design that  I saw on Pinterest
(www.stuckonstampin.blogspot.com) that I had to CASE it. All I changed was the sentiment.

The cute elephant came from the Patterned Occasions stamp set in the 2013 Sell-a-bration flyer. The heart came from the Lacy & Lovely set. The sentiment from Sassy Salutations. The elephant was colored with SU Markers in Midnight Muse, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi and instead of the flower that is part of the elephant stamp, the heart in Real Red placed carefully using the Stampin-ma-jig. The color scheme is Midnight Muse, Real Red, and Whisper White cardstock, Patio Party Designer Series Paper, and matching Midnight Muse Stitched Satin ribbon.

This card doesn't take much time to make and it is so darling. Give it a try!

The Rest of the Cards from Stamp Camp April 13-14

I have to admit I was crunched for time so I let Pinterest be my inspiration for my April Camps. The saying "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" sure should honor the designers I was inspired by, listed below.

This card was a direct CASE from  www.handstampedstyle.com via Pinterest. It uses the Betsy's Blossom set and Friendly Phrases set. The color scheme is Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, and Island Indigo. I love how the postage stamp punch creates a whole new look with the flower from Betsy's Blossom.

This Thank You card was inspired by  www.stamptasticdesigns.blogspot.com  via Pinterest and www.stampingwithdawn.com Triple Layer technique.  I love my color combination of Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, and Soft Suede. The button in the center is from a decade old set of SU buttons and it matches perfectly! What goes around comes around!

This Birthday card uses the use Best of Birthday set celebrating SU 25th Anniversary. This card is a combination inspired by Rita Wright at www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com  and Julie Cluff at www.stampingjulie.com both via Pinterest.  The color scheme is Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake 3/8" taffeta ribbon with safety pin accent. The Coordinations paper is slightly sanded for a more primitive look. The Designer Series paper is some leftover I had from the Holiday Catalog called Candlelight Christmas DSP. A little hand coloring with SU markers finishes the cupcake!

Dress Up Framelit Card

After searching several online card locations, I was inspired to create this card using the Dress Up Framelits that are in the Spring Catalog  (Order # 130101 for $24.95) cut out with my Big Shot. The card base was Lucky Limeade, Basic Black and Real Red. I used the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and the Apothecary Framelits on Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (not currently available, was from Holiday Catalog.) The dress is cut from Polka Dot Parade DSP with a black 1/8" taffeta ribbon belt, accented with a Basic Black button from the Neutrals Designer Button set, topped with a Pearl Jewel. Additional pearls are added to create a necklace. I pierced around the Apothecary framelit for added dimension. The Made for You label was punched out with the small oval from a larger stamped image from the Best of Everything stamp set (Order # 123536 for $17.95 clear.)

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. I hope you are inspired now too!
