Last Minute Easy Scrappy Holiday Cards

Do you ever purchase something, in my case the Wonderful Snowflakes, then have trouble knowing what to do with them? I was having that problem but luckily my leftover Sale-a-Bration Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) came to the rescue!

Below is the collection of 12 cards I made recently that used up some strips and assorted sizes of pieces of this DSP I had leftover and they combined so nicely with the Wonderful Snowflakes. It is hard to see in the photos, but these snowflakes have a glossy, iridescent sheen to them. So pretty!

To adhere the snowflakes down, just a couple glue dots were used.

The little tags were all die-cut out with the Tailor Made Tags dies using Basic White cardstock.

The two greetings came from retired stamp sets - Curvy Christmas and Happy Scenes.
All were stamped in Real Red ink. The tags were sandwiched between the snowflake and the bow.

The ribbon I used was either the 1/4" Black and White Gingham ribbon
or the 3/8" Real Red Organza ribbon. The bows were attached with Glue Dots.

You may be saying to yourself I only see eleven cards here. I made one pair identical, so I didn't photograph that duplicate.

I hope I've inspired you to be creative with trying to make a variety of cards using your paper scraps. It's so fun to see what results!

Happy Holidays!

Holiday Table Favor for November Stamp Classes

Here's the class favor I gave out to my customers when they came to Stamp and Chat Class in November. I don't normally take photos of the treats or favors I give out, but I think I'm going to start just to have a record for when people say, "You remember that treat you gave us?" I really liked it.

So this month I used a 2" x 2" x 2" cube I had on hand. They are now retired from the Stampin' Up! catalog.

Supplies Used to make this Treat Box:

2" x 2" x 2" clear acetate cube
1-7/8" x 9" retired Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper wrapped around the cube.
Very retired Snowflake Punch with Real Red snowflakes
Non- Stampin' Up! White 1/4" ribbon
Retired Tags 4 You stamp set
Basic White cardstock with Garden Green Ink
1-3/4" circle punch
Layering Circles Dies - scallop circle in Garden Green cardstock
Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Stampin' Seal

Contents were two Lindt Truffle Balls - one in Caramel and the other Double Chocolate plus a thin York Peppermint Patty

My customers loved these treats!

I hope this idea inspires you to make some treat boxes to use at your Thanksgiving or Christmas table.
I'm sure your family and/or guests would love them!

Thanks for visiting!

Try the Triple Fold Fun Fold

Do you love fun folds like I do? I hope so! Today's share shows the Triple Fold which I cased the measurements from Tina Zink.

What I love about this fold is you can show off your Designer Series Papers (DSP) so nicely. Then you can accent the Belly Band however you like.

During my Zoom team meeting recently, we made two of these cards. It is so fun to see what paper each person uses. We had a nice variety!

Start with a card base cut 5-1/2" x 11"
Score on the long side at 4-1/4", 7", 9-3/4"
(when you crease your folds you'll need to flip the card around to match my photo image)
Cut a Belly Band 1" x 11"
Cut one piece each of your choice of Designer Series Paper:
1" x 5-1/4"
2-1/2" x 5-1/4"
4" x 5-1/4"

You'll also need Basic White or Very Vanilla cardstock depending on what DSP you have chosen.
One piece - cut 2-1/2" x 5-1/4"
One piece - cut 3/4" x 4"

You can choose if you want the liner piece to go over your DSP on the back section OR adhere it to the section to the left of the back section.

Decide how you want your belly band to look, stamp your greeting and fold it around the card and secure with strong adhesive in the back making sure the band ends line up nicely.

This Fun Fold is still super cute using the recently retired Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper. You know how sometimes there are partial images on the edges of the DSP? I thought having one penguin peeking out from behind another would be a good use of a partial image. What do you think?

Have fun trying this fun fold. You'll get hooked!

Fall Mini My Favorite Things Part 2

Here's the rest of my favorite products in the new Fall Mini Catalog! Enjoy!

Candy Cane Background Stamp

Stampin' Up! shows some wonderful possibilities with the Candy Cane Background Stamp. I can't wait to try it myself using the Stamparatus. (I think I even have some previous Designer Series Paper that looks a lot like this stamp!)

You could be adventurous and try different ink colors. You know candy canes come in all flavors nowadays!

Heartfelt Wishes

Some great saying here to choose from!

The greetings in this stamp set are going to be perfect for including on your holiday cards or fussy cut out for your cards.

Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder goes with the Merriest Moments Stamp Set
I can't wait to give this a try. Being able to die cut and have a matching embossing folder is just magical!

Here's a Stampin' Up! design, I'm thinking they used the Stampin' Blends to color the raised embossed images. I'm going to have to try this!

I love pretty ribbon! If you saw my ribbon collection you would know for sure! These three favs seem the most versatile of the several offered.

3/8" Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon

Black and White Gingham Ribbon

Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon

For every $50 you spend in one order before tax and shipping you can select Sale-a-Bration products. These two packages of Designer Series Paper are fabulous.

Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper - a value of $11.50

Peaceful Prints 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper - a value of $11.50
