10 Years of Wonderful!!!

I just had to share this! I'm proud of this accomplishment and I don't have any plans to stop any time soon!  I get such joy from the wonderful people I have the pleasure of meeting and stamping with, while being creative! It's the best of both worlds.

It all started with my friend Laura, who was also a teacher and Stampin' Up! demo. She held card classes at her home near where I live. I stamped with her monthly for quite a few years. My love for Stampin' Up! products grew under her easy going ways and great card designs. She had me hooked as soon as I saw an embossing folder go through her Big Shot machine. I just loved the results!

Then in 2010 when I was having a particularly tough teaching year, she shared with me about the latest Stampin' Up! Starter Kit deal that was half price. It's never been that low ($79) in the 10 years since I signed up. But I thought "Why not?!" So I did.  It was a great diversion from my teaching and helped me get through that year.

I've never had any regrets with my decision. I am able support my business, hold classes, and I've taken some fun trips to various Stampin' Up! events through the years. Lots of great memories! You are always welcome to join me in this adventure!

Gift Wrapped Meets Celebration Label Dies

The Gift Wrapped stamp set and Celebration Dies work nicely together to create this card for a friend. Isn't Mango Melody and Pretty Peacock a wonderful color combination? I just love how this card turned out. It was inspired by Debbie Reemtsen. I don't usually combine two different Designer Series Papers (DSP) but the Brightly Gleaming DSP and Plain Tidings DSP compliment each other so well. I challenge you to give that a try.

Yes, there are some retired products used in this card, but you can always substitute what you have in your collection to make this layout your own.

A fun close-up view of the layers and fussy cut bow.
