WHO WE ARE:

Welcome to the second blog hop by the Sweethearts Global Collective. The Sweethearts Global Collective is an International group of Independent Stampin’ Up! We are all working to improve our direct sales business' online through providing value that you can use.

We share our love of creativity with not only our customers, but with one another. This month, the theme for our blog hop is “Share a Holiday.” We hope our projects and creativity inspire you in your stamping and papercrafting. Just a quick reminder…as we span the globe, not only are we in different countries, but in different seasons. Thus, you may see projects for Winter cards from one and Summer cards from another. At the end of this post, please “hop” along with me to visit the other blogs and see the amazing creativity of these wonderful demonstrators from around the world! Don’t forget to leave a comment and show them a “little love!”

LET'S GET STARTED!

Here's my contribution, a Cottage Wreath Twisted Easel Christmas Card for you! This card design packs a lot of pizzazz in a small package. Laying flat for sliding in the envelope, but then the front easel portion can stand up and become a 3D card! So festive for the holidays!

I am sure whomever you gift your masterpiece to, they will display it proudly for a long time!

CUTTING DIMENSIONS:

-Shaded Spruce Cardstock for card base cut 4¼” x 11”, score at 4¼”, 4-3/8" and 5½”

-Shaded Spruce Cardstock for easel cut 4¼” square

-Real Red Cardstock for card layer 4” square

-Real Red Plaid of the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper (DSP) 1" x 4" and 4" square, plus envelope flap at 2-3/8" x 6"

-2 pieces of Thick Basic White Cardstock for Wreath inner card layer cut 3-1/2"” square, and 1 piece for easel stop!' x 1-1/2"

-Crumb Cake cardstock for tag 1-1/4" x 2-1/2"

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut all pieces from the measurements above.

One more diagonal score line will be needed on the card base as shown in the diagram below. With the card base open flat facing you and the card front on the right side, score from the upper right corner to the lower left stopping at the 4¼” score line of what will be the front of the card. This will create the easel effect. Crease all score lines with a bone folder or edge of a clear stamping block. This additional easel fold will be a "mountain fold."

Closing the card on the 5-1/2" score line, adhere the book binding narrow section to the back of the card base with Stampin' Seal or Tear and Tape on the inside.

Apply the 1" x 4" piece of the Gingham Cottage DSP to the outside of the book binding section aligning with the 4-3/8" score line to create the 1/8" margin around that section.

Stamp the Thick Basic White Liner with the holiday greeting of your choice in Shaded Spruce ink and adhere the Basic White to the Gingham Cottage DSP. Adhere those two layers to the inside of the Shaded Spruce card base.

Next, prepare the separate Front Easel Square. Adhere Real Red cardstock to Shaded Spruce square.

Stamp the Thick Basic White top layer with Shaded Spruce ink by centering the Cottage Wreath stamp. With Real Red ink stamp the triple dots evenly around wreath.

Stamp with Memento ink the "Merry Christmas" stamp on the small piece of Crumb Cake. Die cut out with the Beautiful Shapes Dies. Take a 12" piece of Linen Thread and wrap around 3 fingers multiple times. Place the loops on the back of the die cut tag and scotch tape in place. Raise tag up on dimensionals on right side of wreath. Finish with adding single red rhinestone jewels around wreath as shown in the close-up photo.

The easel stop is made by stamping the double leaves stamp with Shaded Spruce ink on small piece of Thick Basic White cardstock. Fussy cut out the pair of leaves as one unit with a generous border. Raise the leaves up on two dimensionals and place about half way up the right side of the inner card which will hold the easel in position when opened. Refer to the photo above.

Finish with preparing the envelope flap.

Lori's Corner "Origami" Flip Christmas Card Class

My dear Demonstrator friend, Lori, invited me to participate again in her Christmas Spirit Club this year. I've been pretty busy with other things since the start of the year, but I finally was able to join in on Zoom with her and her customers.

She led us in the Corner "Origami" Flip Fold Card design.

I used retired products from last winter - the Gingerbread and Peppermint Designer Series Paper.
Cut 4 pieces 2.5" x 1-13/16"

Retired In Color - Cinnamon Cider for card base

Current Product - Real Red cardstock (for layer) and ink pad, and Basic White cardstock for tag and inner layer.

Retired 2-1/4" circle punch

Non Stampin' Up! product - 1/8" red satin ribbon for bows.

As I worked with the paper, it was fun to play with color and pattern to see what would result.

The three stamp sets I used were -
Encircled in Warmth - retired
Candy Cane Christmas (very retired)
Everything Essential - retired

Do you like Rudolph's shiny red nose? That's a Red Rhinestone for the bling!

It feels good to have a head start on this year's Christmas cards! If I'm really organized I will get them sent out early in the month this year. I totally missed last year (for the first time ever!) due to our Christmas on the Elbe river cruise my family took. It was worth it! So fun!

Magnolia Double Bridge and Flip Card

Even though the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set retired last June, I just couldn't resist pulling it off the shelf to create with it once again. I have a special occasion coming up for this card later this week. This design is the Double Bridge and Flip card.

I thought the Magnolia was the perfect focal point and accented the Black and White patterns I used from the current Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. Adding the Basic Black card stock layers gave the card just the POP it needed!

Coloring the Magnolia bloom with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers made the flower come to life. The Thinking of You tag accented with a Petal Pink circle, balances the color of the magnolia nicely.

I love to make sure the envelope flap matches the card for an extra touch of class. Paper size 2-3/8" x 6".

Sneak Peek inside below.

The Bridge portion full open to reveal the next layer!

Card front fully open.

Cutting & Assembly Directions:

Thick Basic White cardstock card base cut 5.5" x 8.5", scored at 4.25".On what will be the front of the card you will measure in from each side 1.25". With your paper trimmer you will slit up to the score line to create each side section. This leaves the middle section 3" wide.

With Basic Black cardstock cut four pieces 1" x 4" and one piece 2.75" x 4". Adhere two pieces to their front sections referring to the first photo above. The other two pieces adhere to the inner portion of the card as shown in the fourth photo.

Select three different Black and White patterns from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper collection.
Cut four pieces 7/8" x  3-7/8" and one piece 2-5/8" x 3-7/8".  Adhere these pieces as shown on the front sections and the inner card sides.

For the Bridge portion - cut one piece Thick Basic White cardstock 1.25" x 5.5" and one piece Basic Black cardstock 1" x 5.5".  Adhere the two pieces together. The Bridge will only be attached to the two front side sections.

With a 4" square piece of Basic White cardstock and using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the Magnolia image. Use the matching Magnolia die to cut out with your die cut machine. Color carefully with the Stampin' Blends. Using Dimensionals affix the Magnolia so it only attaches to the bridge and right side section.

With a scrap of Basic White and Petal Pink cardstock, die cut the two circles for the tag. Stamp the greeting using the Memento Black ink. Adhere layers together. Raise with dimensionals on the left side of the bridge. Add the three embellishments. All Done!

Can you keep a secret? This card is for one of my team members who is celebrating her 10th Stampaversary very soon! I'm so happy for her!

Comments about this design are most appreciated. Leave a little love :-)
