Quick & Easy Set of 4 Cards using Go To Greetings and Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper

 Are you looking for a cute, but easy card idea today? I give you the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Go To Greetings combination to try. It was so fun to design these cards for you. The Zoo Crew DSP coordinates with Pool Party, Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie cardstocks, with a pop of Basic Black. 

This set of 4 cards would be very easy to make as gift sets for your friends or to write a note to a grandchild. So many possibilities. The best part is these cards will mail easily and should only need one USPS forever stamp.

Give it a Try and Combine Retired and New Products with the Sweet Citrus Bundle to Make a Fun Birthday Card

Do you ever consider combining your Stampin' Up! older retired products with new products? Well that is exactly what I did with this card design. The moment I purchased the Sweet Citrus Bundle I knew that somewhere were some lemons hiding in my paper stash. 

When I mean older, I dug into my 12" x 12" hanging files for the lemony paper I had in mind that I was still sure I had. Yep, there was 1 sheet of the lemon design left from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper from 2016 I had purchased long ago. Wahoo!

I think combining the old and the new worked so nicely with this card layout. I got to use some more of the limes I had stamped, fussy cut out, then embossed with the hybrid embossing folder along with a piece of vellum cardstock that I used the Radiating Stitches Dies on (2nd to the largest die.) (You can't see the edgework in the photo I don't think.)

Finished card with matching envelope.

Card under construction above. As you can see I ended up changing my mind on where I was going to place the limes once I adhered the limes down. The reason was partially due to the vellum. You have to be careful not to put adhesive where it will show through. So those limes, flowers, and leaves were strategically placed.

SPECIAL TECHNIQUE TIP!

Did you know you can create any color of heat embossed words? Yes you can!! All you have to do is follow the four step process below if you have a photopolymer stamp set with the greeting you want to use.

Here's what to do:

1) Stamp the greeting in the ink color of your choice on Basic White cardstock.

2) Stamp the greeting again with Versamark ink, then carefully align the photopolymer stamp on top of the previously stamped image.

3) Sprinkle the clear embossing powder on top, tap off excess.

4) Turn on your heat tool and warm the clear powder until it gets shiny all over like in the photo above.

Above and below -  a couple close ups of the amazing citrus hybrid embossing folder. Plus the fussy cut heat embossed greeting.

The lime's ink colors were Granny Apple Green for the peel and Parakeet Party for the citrus segments.

The leaves were in Old Olive. The Flowers were Crushed Curry with a Pumpkin Pie center. Basic Pearl Jewels were the embellishments.

I encourage you to dig deep in your paper stash to see if you have some Designer Series Paper that might go perfectly with the Sweet Citrus Bundle so you can create a similar card to share and give.

Be Spellbound With the Best Witches Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! Plus Use the Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to Create This Darling Halloween Card For a Friend

Halloween is coming soon and you don't want to be without ideas to make some Halloween cards for your friends and neighbors. This Best Witches stamp set is what you need to solve this problem. These darling witches are so fun to color with Stampin' Blends or Colored Pencils. They are easy to fussy cut out too.

Have you tried the Front Flap Fun Fold? It is easy to do with just a few pieces of cardstock.

How to Construct the Card:

To make the fun fold, you'll need a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the flat base.

Then a 3" x 8-1/2" piece, scored at 4-1/4". That piece is adhered and centered on top of the flat base.

Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Basic White inner layer are both 2-3/4" x 4". On the Gingham front layer, add a piece of Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi Tape trimming the edges flush with the end of the DSP.

Two Side panel pieces from the Metallic & Shimmer Glimmer paper are 1" x 4".

Basic White for tag 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" stamped in Gorgeous Grape, and die cut with Stylish Shapes Dies. It is adhered flat with portion hanging over the front flap edge.

Basic White for Witch 2-3/4" x 3" stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Colored with Stampin' Blends in Light Basic Black, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Bronze, Dark Highland Heather, Light Petal Pink, Light Smoky Slate. The Witch belt is made from Rhinestone Jewels colored with the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends and set side by side to create the best. Witch is raised up on Dimensionals.

Greeting and stars for inner layer stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink. 

Finish up with a 2-3/8" x 6" piece of the Cottage Gingham DSP for the envelope flap. Adhere and trim.

Make this Cute, Bright Halloween Card Using Stampin' Up!s Bewitching Bundle and Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper! Very Easy!

I like Halloween, but just not all the horror, scary stuff. I happen to be a screamer when I get startled, so that is why I avoid those types of movies and shows.

If you feel the same way I do, then making this darling "Best Witches" Halloween card is a fun alternative for Halloween celebrations

The Bewitching Bundle is available in Stampin' Up!s July-Dec. Mini Catalog will solve your "what should I make?" problem quite nicely. Look at those three hats! They are so cute! The coordinating Witch Hat Builder Punch helps you punch out the hats easily. 

In coordination with the Bewitching Bundle, I used Gorgeous Grape cardstock for the card base. The plaid patterned paper is called Cottage Gingham. The Pumpkin Pie/Basic Black sheet I selected worked nicely for cutting two sections for the card front and just flipping one piece over to get the two plaids.

The Bewitching Layer is built on Basic Black cardstock. The pair of witch feet are stamped directly on the Basic White layer in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend colored the shoe buckles. Do not affix the layers together yet.

The Polka Dot Witch Hat was stamped on Basic White cardstock in Gorgeous Grape ink then punched out. The Witch Hat band was two pieces of the Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi Tape from the Glitter Washi Four Pack put on a scrap of Basic White, then punched out the band with the Hat punch, and attached with liquid glue. The finished hat was raised on Dimensionals and set on top of the feet.

On a narrow scrap stripe of Basic White cardstock, stamp the "Best Witches" in Pumpkin Pie ink. With liquid glue affix the tag at an angle and trim off the excess hanging over. Now you can adhere the layers together and affix to the card front. 

Add a layer of Basic White Cardstock to the inside of the card. Decorate the Basic White envelope flap with matching Cottage Gingham Designer Series Paper. All done!

Lori's Share of the Triple Diamond Fold Back Pop Up Card

Here's another fun card that my demo friend, Lori P., shared with me while we were together at OnStage at Home. Introducing the Triple Diamond Back Pop-Up Card! I had never seen this fun fold before, so I was very glad she learned of it and shared it.

We used the summer Sale-a-Bration Counting Sheep Stamp set (retired), Sheep Dies (retired), Crushed Curry cardstock, Basic White cardstock, Crumb Cake cardstock for the fence, and retired Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper to make this card.

Friendly Ghost and Spiders Halloween Card

Halloween is a week away now. This is the last Halloween card I'm sharing for this year. It's another easy one to put together. 

When I saw this darling layout idea I cased it from MariaStamps.com. I knew I had to try it with the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. I changed it up a bit to make it my own.

Sizes to cut from the Cute Halloween DSP

Left piece - 1" x 5"

Top Right Piece - 2-7/16" x 2-5/8"

Lower Right Piece - 2-7/16" x 2-5/8" and colored with the Stampin' Blends (Super fun technique you can do with any black and white paper, talk about customizing!)

Treat Yourself Easy Sliced Card Front

Halloween is coming really soon, so here's a super easy card you can make multiples of in short order! Check it out!

My dear demo friend Lori P designed a similar card (Thanks Lori!), but I created a "peek a boo" version by only using one piece of Designer Series Paper and flipping over the top section before adhering to the card base.

With your paper trimmer slice diagonally across your piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Cute Halloween DSP wherever you would like. Then flip the top piece over so you'll be creating a little "peek a boo window" on the card base.  Adhere the lower piece of DSP first and then line up the top piece so right edge lines up well.

Decorate the inside of the card with the 3/4" piece of DSP that was left over and add a fussy cut ghost image for extra cuteness.

Give it a Whirl Fun Halloween Card

Here's the other Halloween card we made over the weekend in my Stamp & Chat classes. This card was so fun because we used the "Give it a Whirl" Dies. It took me a little figuring it out, but I think I've got it! 

You will have a lot of variety with these dies!

Products Used to Create this Card:

Pumpkin Pie cardstock card base

Basic Gray cardstock for mid-layer and scalloped circle

Retired Magic of the Night Designer Series Paper (DSP) for front of card

Give it a Whirl Dies

Use a piece of the Designer Series Paper White Firm Backing Paper Packaging for the wheel

Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper for the selected images that are die-cut out

Retired Black mini brads and two thin metal spacers so the wheel will turn easily (one space may need to be scotch-taped in place so it won't show when the wheel is turned.

Harvest & Haunts Paper Pumpkin stamp set for greeting on a scrap 
of Basic White using Pumpkin Pie Ink

Banner Year stamp set for the inside of card - I used Happy Haunting and Boo stamps on the inside

Very retired Halloween Night enamel dots embellishments

HOT TIP #1

The Give It a Whirl Dies that you will need for this card:

This large rectangular die is shown with the cutting side up. 

(The smaller pieces I couldn't remove from the photo easily.) Notice the crossbar with the tiny bump in the middle of the die that will be where you connect this circular die (shown below,) to create the window where the images will pass by when you turn the wheel.

This circular die will need to be rotated 180 degrees so the window shape is above the crossbar on the rectangular die above. It will actually slip onto the "hole" bump so you can position it well before you die cut the front DSP.

Use this three-section die to cut the piece of the Designer Series Paper White Firm Backing Paper Packaging to create the wheel. (The triangular wheel sections do not get cut out.)

Use the circular die again to die cut out your chosen images from the Cute Halloween DSP

Use the Scalloped Circle Die to cut the Basic Gray cardstock that will frame your opening.

Use the small banner die for your greeting that you have stamped on Basic White with Pumpkin Pie ink.

HOT TIP # 2:

Here's the assembly order of the card layers:

A small brad goes through the tiny hole that was die cut with the Give it a Whirl dies on the front Magic of the Night DSP 

 On the reverse side add a spacer and tape down if necessary. 

Add the thick wheel

Place the other spacer and open the brad tips to secure flat.

Next, you will adhere the three circular die-cut DSP images through the opening of the die-cut circle one at a time, being careful not to glue anything to the DSP layer, just to the wheel. I used skeleton, pumpkin, and ghost images. Your three images need to be spacely evenly around the wheel in one-third increments. Check that the wheel will turn freely.

Then add dimensionals on the back edges of the DSP and near the wheel, but not to obstruct the wheel's movement.

Peel the covers from the dimensionals and secure to the Basic Gray Layer.

Then secure that "sandwich" to the Pumpkin Pie card base front.

Adhere your Scalloped Circle to the front of the window on the card front. You will have a little bump from the brad head but don't let that bother you.

Finish up with the Basic White stamped tag and adhere it to a scrap of Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then fussy cut about 1/8'" away from the white tag all the way around. Adhere both layers together and use mini dimensionals to raise off of the card front.

Finish with embellishments.

Fun Peek a Boo Card with Three Silly Sheep

Hello, first day of Autumn! I love the cooler temps, the brisk air, and the fall garden clean-up!  I've got apples and pears to pick, plus the last of the summer squash and beets to gather. It's gonna be a busy weekend!

But until then, here's the third card we made last weekend in stamp class from the Counting Sheep Sale-a-Bration stamp set and matching dies (that you can only get for another week for free with a qualifying order, by the way.)

Supplies Used to Make This Card:

Counting Sheep Sale-a- Bration stamp set

Sheep Dies from Sale-a-Bration

Thick Basic White card stock for card base cut for A2 size card

1-3/8" Circle Die

Basic White card stock for sheep - you only need to stamp the front half of each sheep

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color faces, ears, hooves

Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (for the eyelashes!)

1-1/2" square pieces of Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry cardstock to back the sheep

Scotch Tape to attach

For inner card 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (or paper of your choice) to cover the sheep spots

Retired  Toile Enamel Dots in Real Red

Cover Envelope flap too 2-3/8” x 6” Designer Series Paper piece, trim to fit

You'll also need a Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, 

Clear Stamp Blocks, and a Simple Shammy.
