July Card Class Selections

Here's the cards we made at our July Stamp Class

Cased from Laura K Fiorelli-Allen

The Delightfully Detailed Laser Designer Series Specialty Paper is so beautiful, a card can be created with it alone! Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White cardstock was used, along with the sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink from the new Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. Retired Oval punches (plain and scalloped) and retired Blackberry Bliss ribbon were used. All you need is a Fine-tip Glue pen and you will have this card made in no time flat!

This Fold Out Panel Card was Cased from Dawn Griffith with one modification. I made a full card base instead of a flat piece like she shows on her You Tube video.

This card used the color combo of Lovely Lipstick, Melon Mambo and Real Red along with Whisper White. The stamp set was Picture Perfect Birthday. The new 6x6 2018-2020 In-Color paper stack was used too. The colored enamel dots are retired that I used on the front.

Renee Kohnke provided the layout I cased for these two cards using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. These cards are very easy to construct using either Fresh Fig or Petal Pink cardstock as the base, then stamp the sentiments with the same color inks using the "Thank You" from the Accented Blooms set or the "happiness verse" from the Dandelion Wishes set.  Punch out with the Hexagon punch and you are all set. The card is finished with 1/8" Gold Ribbon which is now retired.

Cased from Cindy Elam.

The Southern Serenade stamp set is the focal point for this birthday card. Using the new Blends alcohol markers I colored the flower with Petal Pink and the leaves with Old Olive with a small bit of accents with Light Flirty Flamingo. I used some retired 2013-2015 In Color 12x12 Mint Macaron Designer Series Paper, along with Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock. The trim is also retired Vintage Crochet in Basic Black.  What's fun about this card is it can be made in just about any color combination to fit your taste. Give it a try!

Cased from www.createwithlynn.com

When I saw this card, I said this is the perfect masculine card for practically any occasion using the sentiment from "Picked for You" stamped in Tranquil Tide ink. Night of Navy and Very Vanilla cardstock is paired with the retired True Gentleman Designer Series Paper makes it go together quickly. The 45 degree scored fold is approximately 2-2.5" from the corner. The Night of Navy buttons are very retired, but were perfect with some Very Vanilla Baker's Twine "sewn" through the button to finish off the "shirt."   This card should probably be hand delivered due to the thickness of the buttons.

Well, I hope these designs spur you on to try make some of your own.

Hello Friend!

Card inspired by Jackie Bolhuis

I love the rustic look of this card. The Wood Words stamp set used with Night of Navy ink and Real Red ink  just make this card pop! The base is Crumb Cake with a layer of Night of Navy and a layer of Wood Textures Designers Series Paper stack and Whisper White up top.  The Hello Friend tag is heat embossed in Whisper White embossing powder. The red star is cut out with the Wood Crate framelits. The card is finished off with Night of Navy Gingham Satin ribbon.

Any friend would welcome receiving this!

Artistic Impressions Card

Layout inspired by Dori Schneider.

This card uses the new Embossing Mat to give your framelits a second life. Look at the upper right corner and you will see what I mean!

The color combo is Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point and Whisper White.

Painted Harvest Soft Sunflower Card

This card idea came straight from the pages of the 3rd quarter 2018 issue of the SU Demonstrators "Stampin' Success" magazine. The Sunflower is so soft looking and elegant I just had to make one. The Stamp sets used were Painted Harvest (along with the Leaf Punch) and Special Celebrations. The inks used were Petal Pink, Grapefruit Grove, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, and So Saffron. The cardstock colors are Grapefruit Grove, Thick Whisper White, and some very old, retired Subtles Designer Series 12 x 12 paper stack - the polka dots are So Saffron. Grapefruit Grove 1/8" grosgrain ribbon finishes off the card.

Summer Watermelon Card

This card layout was CASEd from Beverly Morales, but I changed up the colors and used a different corner punch.  The cool part about this card is you make a whole watermelon, then cut it in half for the card front, so why not make 2 cards in the time it takes to make one?

The stamp set used was  Wood Words. The color scheme was Poppy Parade, Call Me Clover, Granny Apple Green, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstocks. The ribbon is the new Polka Dot Tulle. The melon was made using the Layering Oval Framelits and the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, both using the Big Shot. The bite out of the melon is done with the top of the mini heart punch (retired.) The retired punch for the corners and seeds is the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. I thought it was so cool to get seeds that matched the corners.

Brusho Butterly Card

This one is an original by yours truly. I've named it "Brusho Butterfly." The stamp set is Beautiful Day and the sentiment comes from Colorful Seasons. The color scheme is the new In Color - Pineapple Punch paired with Bermuda Bay. I heat embossed the butterfly image with white embossing powder on watercolor paper. Then I lightly squirted the paper and gently sprinkled the Brusho Watercolor Crystals and watched the magic happen! Once dry (it takes a while) then I gently used a facial tissue to wipe the embossing clean. Make sure to use some strong adhesive, like Tear and Tape or Tombow Extreme (not a SU product.) I finished the card off with Bermuda Bay Mini Striped 1/4" Ribbon. The sentiment tag was punched with a retired punch called Perfect Punch. This card just says "Summer" to me!
