Perfect Pop Up Gingerbread & Peppermint Card

Ding-a-ling Christmas Gingerbread Cookies are ringing on this darling card using the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite. I love how the card front has the gingerbread and peppermint right on it! I've been making fun fold cards this week. Today's card is an inside Pop Up inspired by LeeAnn Greff a while back.

I had to hold the card closed for the photo so it didn't spring open!

This inner pop-up is made with a 6" x 6" piece of Basic White cardstock. You can accent it however you like, but I think my arrangement is very "balanced" and pleasing to the eye.

Don't forget to cover your envelope flap too. It's made all the difference!

Gingerbread & Peppermint Dutch Door Fun Fold Card

Have you ever tried a Dutch Door Fun Fold? I don't think I ever have and it is really easy!

Here's my original design using the fabulous products from Stampin' Up!s 

Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite. 

Doesn't the decorated envelope flap just make this card set? I sure think so!

Using a trimmed-down Memories and More preprinted card, sure makes the front of the card look fabulous. The Designer Series Paper and the Gingerbread Dies make the "cookie" a nice accent.

Right Side View - Notice how I added another die-cut snowflake cookie to have something pretty to see on the inside when you open the card.  Plus I stamped the mini peppermint stamp along with the greeting in Real Red ink.

 Cinnamon Cider Cardstock - Card base is cut 4-1/4" x 11", score on the long side at 5-1/2". Then you'll cut out the upper front piece of the card front to create the Dutch Door - 2-1/8" x 5-1/2"

Sweet Gingerbread and Peppermint Angled Tri Fold Card

I am really on a Christmas kick lately. Maybe it is a distraction from the pandemic. Or could it be that Stampin' Up! has designed the most "delicious" Suite ever? I think that must be it! Since I love to bake and travel, this suite is the best combination of both worlds. Memories of baking cookies with my mom and my daughter plus my German travels and eating lots of gingerbread while visiting there in November or December.

Maybe you would appreciate this sweet distraction this week to inspire your card-making. I plan on sharing four different cards using this "yummy" Suite.

This Angled Tri-Fold Card layout is inspired by Stampin with Lorraine's YouTube video. I changed it up to be a Christmas Card design using the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite.

911 Remembrance Day

 Hard to believe it has been 20 years today since the terrorist attack on America. I will never forget that day. I didn't lose anyone I loved that day, but I feel for all those families who did. Grief is something you never get over, you just focus less on it as time passes.

Extra Sweet Cookie Cooling Rack Card

Today's darling card brings back holiday memories of my mother's giant Santa Cookies. My mom came up with this big 6" tall cookie design which she would make for all the kids in our neighborhood. Then my daughter, Krista, and I continued her tradition as she grew up. This photo is from 2006 on her holiday from college. We would make Santa sugar cookies and decorate them every December when we could.

Sugar and Spice Easy Holiday Card

I'm cooking up another easy card for you using the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Card Pack, and matching envelopes and card bases.  Plus with a little fussy cutting of the cookie images from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6x6 Designer Series Paper, you'll have this cute card all done in no time!

I trimmed the "Sugar & Spice" 3x4 preprinted card and trimmed 1/4" off the top and the bottom, then adhered and positioned it at an angle on the card base. The rest was easy, just fussy cut the small cookie images and used a small circle punch to punch out the candies. Layer on card front with some mini dimensionals. Embellished with Gold Metallic Pearls. That's it!
