Check Out the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder Here

Need an elegant Wedding or Anniversary card? This Book Fun Fold card is so easy to do, but the result is so gorgeous using Basic White cardstock, Copper Foil, and the new Hybrid Embossing Folder
from the Stampin' Up! January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.

What's a hybrid embossing folder you ask? It is a combination of an embossing folder and a matching die that locks in place inside the folder. When you run it through once in your Cut and Emboss Machine you get embossing and die-cutting all at the same time! Pretty cool!

Project Directions:

This card is one of the easiest to make. Start with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Basic White cardstock. Score at 4-1/4" and 5-1/2" on the long side.  Fold the cardstock in half on the 5-1/2" score line. Then gently fold the "page" up on the 4-1/4" scoreline. With adhesive, affix the 1-1/4" section only to the card back.

Cut two pieces of Basic White cardstock - one piece 1" x 4" and another piece 4" square.

Cut a 3" square piece of Copper Foil.

Using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Fold, place your 1" x 4" piece of Basic White and run through your die-cut machine. With adhesive affix in place as shown in the photo.

Place your 4" square piece of Basic White in the folder being sure to center it, so the heart will emboss in the middle. Do not put the heart die in unless you have a predetermined use for the cut-out heart that will be cut out. I found if I didn't cut out the heart, I got a raised-up effect that the copper heart could sit on when affixed to the white embossed layer. With adhesive affix to the card front section.

With the Copper Foil, place the heart die inside the embossing folder where it goes with the cutting side up. When you run the copper foil through you will have a cut-out heart and embossed heart all in one pass through your die-cut machine. With adhesive affix in place as shown in the photo.

Grab a scrap of Basic White cardstock and stamp the sentiment on the elongated oval-ish die that comes in the hybrid set with Cajun Craze ink. I was surprised how "coppery" that looked. I used a sentiment from the Sale-a-Bration Special Moments stamp set that is available through Feb. 28, 2022. See the photo below. Tag is raised on mini-dimensionals.

The copper ribbon is wrapped twice completely around the front and back of the card as shown, with ends tied in a knot. Tie a bow on top of the knot.

You now have a lovely card you can be proud of!

There are so many possibilities with this set. I think it is going to be a keeper in my stamp room. If you would like to order this product through my online store, please click the yellow box link under my name.

10 Years of Wonderful!!!

I just had to share this! I'm proud of this accomplishment and I don't have any plans to stop any time soon!  I get such joy from the wonderful people I have the pleasure of meeting and stamping with, while being creative! It's the best of both worlds.

It all started with my friend Laura, who was also a teacher and Stampin' Up! demo. She held card classes at her home near where I live. I stamped with her monthly for quite a few years. My love for Stampin' Up! products grew under her easy going ways and great card designs. She had me hooked as soon as I saw an embossing folder go through her Big Shot machine. I just loved the results!

Then in 2010 when I was having a particularly tough teaching year, she shared with me about the latest Stampin' Up! Starter Kit deal that was half price. It's never been that low ($79) in the 10 years since I signed up. But I thought "Why not?!" So I did.  It was a great diversion from my teaching and helped me get through that year.

I've never had any regrets with my decision. I am able support my business, hold classes, and I've taken some fun trips to various Stampin' Up! events through the years. Lots of great memories! You are always welcome to join me in this adventure!
