Wonderful World Sale-a-Bration Preview Card - June Stamp and Chat Class

As I was creating cards for my June Stamp and Chat classes, I wanted to share a card from the upcoming (on July 1, 2022) Second Sale-a-Bration offering. This original card design used the Wonderful World stamp set and matching Designer Series Paper which will be free with a qualifying $100 purchase. These two products have a total value of at least $28.

The bachelor button floral stamp caught my eye first, so I designed with that in mind. I used Orchid Oasis and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Markers to color the cling stamp in their individual sections and then gave it "the breath of life" to stamp it on the Basic White cardstock piece. I fussy cut around the image and mounted it on Rich Razzleberry cardstock and mirrored my previously cut edge. Set that aside for a few minutes.

This Rich Razzleberry card base is 4.25" x 11", scored at 5.5".

The Wonderful World Designer Series Paper layer is 4" x 5.25". Adhere to card front.

Use a 4" x 5.25" layer of Basic White cardstock adhered on the inside of the card to write your personal message.

The Orchid Oasis Flap starts out as a 4.25" x 2.25" piece.  Use the "pocket" edge die from the Basic Borders Die set to create the "flap". Then score 1/2" on the opposite long side which will be attached to the back of the card opening. Using a 1/4" hole punch, punch a hole near the pocket tip of the flap for the ribbon to thread through.

A 22" long piece of Daffodil Delight Ruched ribbon is wrapped around the card. Feed the top piece ot ribbon through the hold in the flap, even up the ends, then tie a bow on the Orchid Oasis flap area.

Now attach your prepared Bachelor Button piece directly to the card front, as that is what will hold the closing ribbon in place.

The Friend tag is a 2" x 3/4" piece of Basic White cardstock stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink, mounted on a 2-1/8" x 7/8" piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock. Raise on dimensionals placing it over the base of the floral image.

Embellish with bling of your choice.

Decorate your Basic White envelope flap with a 2-3/8" x 6" piece of coordinating Designer Series Paper. Adhere and trim off excess.

Now you have a unique, one-of-a-kind card!

Tea Boutique Suite and the Ladybug Punch

Did you think about CASEing yesterday's vertical scrappy card layout? Here's a horizontal stripe layout with a little more pizzazz that you can CASE too. The addition of the greeting stamped in Orchid Oasis on a Basic White scrap, die-cut out with the Stitched Rectangles, and backed with Tahitian Tide cardstock does wonders for this card.

I love the look of a scrappy, strip technique. They are so easy to do! These strips were 1/2" and 3/4" arranged in an even stripe pattern with minimal spacing between each piece. This stripe technique can be done with any coordinating Designer Series Paper you have on a coordinating cardbase.

The Lady Bug Punch is still the fun accent on this card made with two of the new In Colors - Sweet Sorbet and Orchid Oasis. The Ladybug is raised up on Dimensionals along with the rectangular greeting.

The wait won't be much longer for you to be able to order these darling products. May 3, 2022 is when the new 2022-23 Annual Catalog goes live and these products will be available in my online store.

Ladybug Punch Paired with Scrappy Tea Boutique Papers So Fun!

Ok, I admit it, I can't stop creating with the Tea Boutique Suite! Today and tomorrow you'll have a couple more card designs you can CASE (copy and share everything.) The Lady Bug Punch is the fun accent on this card made with two of the new In Colors - Sweet Sorbet and Orchid Oasis.

I love the look of a scrappy, strip technique. They are so easy to do! These strips were 1/2" and 3/4" arranged in an uneven pattern. Using the Ladybug Builder Punch made for a fast accent raised up on Dimensionals. This scrappy technique can be done with any coordinating Designer Series Paper you have on a coordinating cardstock base.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on the actual card base. Make sure to hold the stamp in place a few seconds to allow the ink to absorb into the cardstock.

The wait won't be much longer for you to be able to order these darling products. May 3, 2022 is when the new 2022-23 Annual Catalog goes live and these products will be available in my online store.

Notice in the photo below how great the Classic Matte Dots work for the ladybug spots. A little touch of black on a card helps things "POP".

The Wonderful World of Stampin' Up!s Five New In Colors

Hello! I hope you enjoyed last week's five blog posts about these darling cards I share below. If you missed the daily postings, I encourage you to have a look as there are some interesting tips and tricks along the way on how I created these cards.

The stars of the week were the new 2022-24 In Colors and the new Tea Boutique Suite. These items will be available for purchase on May 3, 2022 when the new Annual Catalog goes live through my online store.

You can purchase the entire set of ink pads or choose to only buy the colors you like. I always recommend you purchase the ink refill when you buy the ink pad so you will be ready to reink the pad on a moments notice.

The set of 1/8" Woven Metallic Ribbon is very nice to work with and four out of the five colors match the In Colors perfectly, but the Sweet Sorbet doesn't at all. Nevertheless, I still purchased it and I'm sure I'll be able to use it on a variety of projects. I love using the narrower ribbons in my cardmaking. I'm not a huge fan of any ribbon over 3/8" since tying flatter bows gets more difficult as the ribbon gets wider for my arthritic fingers.

I also always purchase the matching Stampin' Write marker set because you never
know when you may need to fill in a spot in a stamped image.

I'm so thrilled that Stampin' Up! was able to manufacture all five of the In Colors into their Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I just love these pens!!!

If you don't have your own Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd love to be yours! If you need a new Annual Catalog, visit this link and you can receive one.

Have a lovely day!
