August Stamp and Chat Class Cards #3

Hey, Summer isn't over yet! There's still time to make this great beachy card to celebrate a summer birthday of a friend or family member using the Friends are like Seashells stamp set.

Using the color scheme of Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana you'll be able make a beach inspired card that is soft on the eyes.

 Inspired by Cindyleebee Designs

Notice how the paper switches from the outside to the inside. I love this technique!

Products used to create this card:

Friends are Like Seashells stamp set
Gray Granite card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Soft Sea Foam cardstock 4" x 5-1/4"
Basic White cardstock 4" x 5-1/4"

Soft Sea Foam, Coastal Cabana, and Granny Apple Green Inks to stamp the color blobs
on the Basic White
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the sea shell, sand dollar, and starfish
Grab a white envelope and stamp the envelope flap too while you are at it!

After stamping the Basic White layer, cut both the White & Soft Sea Foam layers at 1-1/2" across the bottom edge, so you can switch the sections as shown in the photo.

Stamp the greetings in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on the Soft Seafoam cardstock

Basic White piece 3" x 4-1/4" to stamp the large shell in Gray Granite and the Sand Dollar in Coastal Cabana, cut out with Seaside Seashell Dies, then emboss shell using Seashells 3D Embossing Folder
using a Cut & Emboss Machine, then use Dimensionals to raise the shell on the card front.

Adhere the die cut sand dollar to the inner card as shown in the photo

Finish with three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Hope you are having a great summer and able to do some crafty projects like this one along the way.

August Stamp and Chat Class Cards #2

Today brings in the end of the six Sharing Sunshine stamp set cards I've shared over the last couple weeks. It was so fun to create multiple card designs from one stamp set at one time. Yes, my stamp room got very messy in the process, but it was worth it! This stamp set has a lot of value in it because you can make such a variety of cards with it. Give it a try!

The basic layout idea was cased from Deb Joy Smeak, but I made it my own.

Here's the products used to make this card:

Sharing Sunshine Stamp Set
Polished Pink Card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Daffodil Delight Layer 4" x 5-1/4"
Basic White Layer 3-3/4" x 5"

Blending Brush with Daffodil Delight Ink to place a circle of color behind the die cut sunflower.
Polished Pink 4" square for die cutting the sunflower
Sunflower Dies with Die Cut machine of your choice

Basic White for Tag 3/4" x 4"
Stamp Happy Birthday greeting with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Blending Brush with Daffodil Delight Ink to lightly color the tag
Tailored Tag Punch for the banner ends

Basic White 1-1/2" square for face
Basic White 3" square for rays
Daffodil Delight Ink for rays and face
Circle Punch or Circle Die to layer face and ray pieces
Memento Tuxedo Black  and Polished Pink Ink for face details
Dimensionals to raise face/rays up from sunflower die cut
----------------------------

This card makes sending a birthday card to a friend far away easy because it is flat, no bumpy embellishments on this one.

I'd love it if you'd subscribe to my email list so you can receive a 14 card One Sheet Wonder tutorial for FREE. It is a very versatile design you can use over and over again!

Have a lovely day!

August Stamp and Chat Class Cards #1

Two weeks ago I shared here on my blog, four cards made with the Sharing Sunshine stamp set. (Check out those posts, too.) Today's and tomorrow's posts are the final two cards I made using this stamp set.

Today's card was one of six I offered at this past weekend's Stamp and Chat classes that I have monthly in my home. We had a blast with 10 ladies spread over three sessions. I'll be sharing the other cards this week here.

This card's layout was cased from Hammond and Penny, but I changed it up a bit to be able to use the Stamparatus for the Biggest Wish stamp set words and changed up the color scheme. It is so awesome to be able to switch out the plates of the Stamparatus and set your stamps wherever you want them to go! My customers love the ease of getting precise stamping every time!

Here's my sunflowers in my garden, so no wonder I wanted to make some cards like sunflowers!

Here's the materials you need to make this card:

Sharing Sunshine Stamp Set
Pale Papaya Card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Polished Pink layer 4" x 5-1/4"
Basic White Layer 3-3/4" x 5"
Stamparatus with Biggest Wish stamp set
Polished Pink and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Retired Art Gallery Designer Series Paper (but you can us whatever orangy paper you have)
Large Daisy Punch - punch two, attach together with glue dots
Old Olive cardstock cut twice with retired Lily Pad Dies, use glue dots to stick the two stems together and trim the upper set of leaves to fit behind the sun face
Basic White 1-1/2" square for face
Daffodil Delight Ink
1-1/4" Circle Punch or Circle Die
Polished Pink and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for face
Dimensionals to raise face from petals
---------------------------------

Give this card a try, it is so cheery and you can change up the words in the Biggest Wish stamp set for a wide variety of occasions that you may need.

I'd love to read your comments about this card, just click below.

Have a fabulous SUNNY day!

Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More Reveal

Hello! I haven't done a video in quite a while and was trying a new way of doing things.

Enjoy looking at all the different parts in the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories and More Card Pack that is currently available in the 2021 Fall Mini Catalog.

Today's post is quick, it's been a very busy day - gardening, baking, flower arranging, doing some stamping, and going to my part time "other" job to do bookkeeping. But I wanted to say Hey and I hope you enjoy this!

Peaceful Prints Horizontal Latching Gate Fold Card

You ready for some more Christmas? I am! Here's the horizontal Latching Gate Fold Card I designed using yesterday's vertical design as inspiration. I think they are just as cute! You might even have less waste of the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) because you'll be cutting the width of the paper 4" x 12".  It's also fun to select which deer shall go in either direction.

I cased this Latching Gate Fold idea from Melissa Stout, The Stamp Doctor.

Here's how to make this darling card!

1) Select your card bases in Real Red, Garden Green, or Crumb Cake and cut several at 4-1/4" x 11", score at 2-3/4" and 8-1/4".  HINT: As you are folding the two front panels together, have them touch and line up the top and bottom edges, so they don't overlap, then use your bone folder to burnish the score lines.

2)  Select the Deer Patterned sheet next. You will cut across horizontally to separate the "rows" of deer. Your strips will be in the neighborhood of 2-1/8" wide. Using my photo as an example, you will want to make 2-1/8" squares of every deer on the page. Some of the pieces you have left over will be able to be used for the horizontal latching piece.

3) With whatever greeting you choose and using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp your greeting around the deer as shown.

4) Cut 2-3/8" squares of Basic Black cardstock and mount the deer images on them with adhesive. Next you'll need two of the larger dimensionals. Flip your deer tags over and place the dimensionals at the top right and lower right corners. You only need two per deer.  Set aside for a bit.

5) Select another sheet of the DSP and cut a 4" x 12" width, then cut 2-1/2" wide panels from the 4" height. You'll get multiple panels from that section of paper. Then you can select another sheet and do the same. That way you'll have 4 different designs to create with on your card bases. Decide how you want to arrange your panels and adhere them down.

6) Next cut 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" strips of Basic Black Cardstock for however many cards you are making. Now with the gingham scraps left over from the deer or select another scrap you may have, select the ones that are 3-1/2" or longer and slice them into 1" strips. Adhere the DSP strips and Basic Black strips together so both ends line up. Trim if any are a little too long.

7) With the DSP and black strips you just made you will be adhering just 2-1/2" with adhesive, and the 1" left will not have any on it. Place the strip as shown in the photo so it lines up with the right fold line.

8) Take one of your prepared deer tags and peel off the two dimensional backings. The goal is to make sure the dimensionals do not touch the DSP strip but the tag itself is also centered left and right on the card front like shown in the photo.

9) If you'd like, you are welcome to embellish the deer tag with some rhinestones or sequins.

THE SECRET LATCHING TRICK:
Try to open the card and you'll notice the strip slips easily from the empty space of the deer tag and card front thanks to the height of the dimensionals. Pretty Cool isn't it!
Now try to insert it back into that space and you'll see how easy the card stays closed. Voila!

Peaceful Prints Vertical Latching Gate Fold Card

Even though Christmas is still a ways off, Sale-a-Bration is going on right now! I highly recommend you select this paper as your Sale-a-bration reward when you spend $50 before shipping and tax. It's sooo cute and look at the great cards you can make with only one greeting stamp! The Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) does all the work!

Between these two photos you can see there are a lot of combinations of how to use the double sided designs.

I cased this Latching Gate Fold idea from Melissa Stout, The Stamp Doctor.
I changed it up by using the DSP with the deer image as the focal point and just stamping the greeting from the new Christmas to Remember stamp set. (I will admit I cut my stamp into two pieces but I did it at an angle so the two parts will line up perfectly when I need it to be one stamp again.)

Here's how to make this darling card!

1) Select your card bases in Real Red, Garden Green, or Crumb Cake and cut several at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", score at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8".

5) Select another sheet of the DSP and cut a 5-1/4" x 12" width, then cut 1-7/8" wide pieces from the 5-1/4" height. You'll get multiple pieces from that section of paper. Then you can select another sheet and do the same. That way you'll have 4 different designs to create with on your card bases. Decide how you want to arrange your panels and adhere them down.

6) Next cut 1-1/4" x 3" strips of Basic Black Cardstock for however many cards you are making. Now with the gingham scraps left over from the deer, select the ones that are 3" or longer and slice them into 1" strips. Adhere the gingham strips and Basic Black strips together so both ends line up. Trim if any are a little too long.

7) With the gingham and black strips you just made you will be adhering just 2" with adhesive, and the 1" left will not have any on it. Place the strip as shown in the photo so it lines up with the right fold line.

8) Take one of your prepared deer tags and peel off the dimensional backings. The goal is to make sure the dimensionals do not touch the gingham strip but the tag itself is also centered left and right on the card front like shown in the photo.

Voila!

Here's all the patterns in the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper! So pretty!

If you don't have the cardstock colors, that would be the perfect items to order along with envelopes and you'll have enough to receive the DSP Free (That's an $11.50 value!)  Won't you feel proud to say I've made my own Christmas cards this year!
Just click on the yellow button below and you'll go straight to my online store.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Tomorrow I'll be showing the horizontal version of this card that's my original design.
