International Blog Highlights Gallery for June

I just love the Ice Cream Corner Suite! It's so "cool" and "yummy"! Using the Twisted Easel Fun Fold this 4-1/4" square card is the fun result. It's a great way to say "Thank You" to someone who has been extra "sweet" to you.

I've submitted this card to Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights Gallery for June with the theme of Thank You. I'd sure appreciate your vote by clicking on the big blue button below:

I posted all the details how to make this card, along with diagrams on this blog last week.

I'd love to hear your card comments, just click the button below.

Thanks so much for voting!

Lego Anniversary Card

I recently made this anniversary card for a favorite pair who are AFOL's (Adult Fans of Legos)
and it was a big hit!

So fun to make, but it does required some math figuring for the proper dimensions, but it isn't too hard. You need some tweezers to get the double layered and glued together hole punched circles positioned carefully on their mini dimensionals. The white shading was a narrow tip white chalk marker.

Mr. & Mrs. Stamp (retired) fussy cut out and added to the layout.

Used the Number of Years (retired) stamp set for the inside message.

Had a piece of black and white gingham which was perfect for the envelope flap.

I am pleased my recipients called to say they loved the card.
Maybe it will even be on display the next time I visit!

Batter Up Paper Pumpkin Kit Card Creations

The May Paper Pumpkin "Batter Up!" was a great kit for the sports lover. Since I'm not a baseball fanatic, I only made a few alternates with this kit and not my usual 20+ extra cards. However, I have seen many creative cards made with this kit, just google to see for yourself.

Enjoy browsing my cards below.

Cut the red rays in half, cut the striped layer in half. Fussy cut the ball cap. Added "DAD".

Since the kit gave you the printed baseball style card, it was easy to combine a few pieces for a good looking card.

Those punched out bats were a little tricky to get attached to the card front, but they worked finally.

Stamped the center panel, and mounted it on Night of Navy, then added the fussy cut ball caps in Real Red and Pacific Point.

Used two of the home plates to give a belly band effect.

Just added a little bit of Night of Navy and that helped the card to "pop."

Added the "Friend" stamp to the other "Best" stamp which just fit in a 2-1/2" circle punch. Mounted the two half panels on a Daffodil Delight card base.

I hope these designs inspire you to make your kit now, don't let them pile up on the shelf!

Have a lovely day!

Sweet Ice Cream Impossible Card

Does this card look impossible to make? It isn't really. Plus I put the impossible portion on an actual card base so you can write a note and include a gift card for the lucky birthday boy or girl.

The Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch makes the cutest "Disney-ish" popsicles, by turning the scoop 180 degrees. Credit goes to Patty Bennett for designing these popsicles.

So grab your Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set, the cone punch, and Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper and let's get started!

After you get your Highland Heather cardstock scored and cut like my diagram shows, all you have to do is gently take hold of the side that is split in two and flip one half of that side over 180 degrees. The center piece will stand up and you'll have the base correct like it is shown in my card photos.

I went ahead and glued the impossible piece to my Soft Sea Foam card base to hold it in place while I worked on adding the Designer Series Paper pieces and making the two Disney popsicles.

Start with the Designer Series Paper:
You will need two pieces of each pattern, and glue as you go.
Striped - 1" x 1-7/8"
Sprinkles - 1-7/8" x 2-1/2"
Ice Cream Cones - 1-7/8" x 2-3/4"

Stamp the dotted image with Highland Heather Ink as shown before
attaching the Happy Birthday greeting.

Greeting:
Basic White cardstock - a piece 2" x 2-3/4" will allow you to stamp both sayings using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. You'll have space to fussy cut the large saying and snip the little saying into three parts. Mount the greetings on scraps of Poppy Parade cardstock. Fussy cut out the larger greeting. Mount the small words and trim as needed. Glue the little words flat to card base. Raise up the larger greeting with dimensionals.

Building the 2 Disney Popsicles:
Punch out two scoops in Early Espresso with the Ice Cream Cone Builder punch.
If you have a small heart punch and regular hole punch,
create the bow in Poppy Parade and attach to one scoop. (Or you can make it by hand if needed.)
With another scrap of Poppy Parade cut slightly less than half of the circle end of the scoop to make the "shorts" and attach.  If you have some Bumblebee enamel dots add those to the shorts as shown.
For the popsicle sticks - stamp two narrow scraps of Cinnamon Cider with stick outline stamp in Early Espresso ink. Stamp woodgrain also in Early Espresso. Fussy cut out and scotch tape to back of scoops. Mount popsicles on upright piece with mini dimensionals.

So now you've done the impossible! You've made your own Impossible Card!
This fun fold works for any occasion so have fun with it.

Happy Stamping,

Sweet Ice Cream Popsicle Trio Card

Did you notice I've got a thing going with the Ice Cream Corner Suite in my blog posts recently? I've got three more card designs to share after this one. So be sure to keep coming back for more!

Today's card is a trio of popsicles stamped on Basic White cardstock cut out with the new Scalloped Contour Dies. I just love how these dies add another design element to our card making.

The popsicles are stamped in Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam, Blackberry Bliss, and Bermuda Bay inks. The sticks are stamped in Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso.

Grab a piece of vellum cardstock 7/8" x 4-1/4" with ends punched with the Tailored Tag punch, followed by the fussy cut Happy Birthday positioned on top of the trio. The trio were accented with 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

The card base is Granny Apple Green, two pieces of Soft Sea Foam cut at 1-7/8" x 5", then on top are two pieces of the Sale-a-Bration (now retired) Oh So Ombre 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper stack cut at 1-5/8 x 4-3/4".

Here's a fun idea to decorate the inner layer.

The trio of popsicles are raised up with Dimensionals. The vellum tag is also raised up with Mini Dimensionals strategically hidden behind the happy birthday words.

Today's card design is a simple and easy to replicate one, but the Ice Cream Corner Suite does all the work in making this card "POP-sicle" with yummy-ness!!

This design could be birthday or thank you with a gift card tucked inside for the lucky recipient. Wouldn't that be a sweet gift to receive?

You can stamp your popsicle any of the color combinations on the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper. The coordinating cardstock piece is fussy cut around the popsicle to give added depth by raising it off the card front with Dimensionals.
