This is a paper you must see in person, it is SO gorgeous!

Project Directions:

Prepare Pool Party Cardstock card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", score at 4-1/4"

With the eucalyptus leaf stamp and Pool Party ink, stamp two columns of images on the card base right front side.

Adhere the Splendid Day Designer Series Paper 2-3/4" x 5-1/4"to left side of card front (you may cover some portions of the stamped images.)

Cut the next Pool Party Cardstock layer 3-1/4" x 4-1/4"

Also cut two pieces of Basic White Cardstock - front layer 3" x 4" and inner layer 4" x 5-1/4"

Again with the Pool Party ink, stamp the greeting and plant images shown on the card front. On the inner card layer stamp two bee images in the lower right corner, then adhere that layer inside of card.

Adhere the two smaller front layers together, then raise up with Dimensionals at a slant on the card front.

Thread an 8" piece of 1/8" wide ribbon through the top  circle of the Open Leaf Trinket charm. Tie a bow, trim tails as needed. Use two glue dots to affix to card front as shown.

Add three sparkly embellishments of your choice.

Cut a coordinating piece of Designer Series Paper 2-3/8" x 6" and adhere to the exterior of the envelope flap. Trim off excess with your paper snips.

Sharing Creativity Now Event Splendid Day Suite Gift Bag Finale

Hello! Today's the final day to celebrate the Creativity Now event from last Saturday with the beautiful gift bag that will hold the four cards made and shown earlier this weekhere on my blog.

Just as a reminder, these products will be live and available to order on July 1 at my online store (link at bottom) since they are part of the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog.

Below is Stampin' Up!s sample. I think my project is darn close to the one below.

Here are my five projects all together. Overall they look very coordinated and would be a lovely gift for a neighbor or friend.

Now you can see the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and Splendid Stems Dies, the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon, the Open Leaf Trinkets, and Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems.

Sharing Creativity Now Event Splendid Day Suite Card 3

As with the past two days of blog posts using this Suite, you'll see artistic differences between my card and the Stampin' Up! version. What I didn't notice until I saw the picture again  as I was writing this post was that I missed putting on the metal leaf embellishment. Next time I will put it on when I do another card!

There was a technique used on this card that I had never tried before. Use the cutting side of your paper snips to "rough" up the four sides of the Basic White paper.

Be sure to visit again tomorrow for Card 4 and on Friday to see the Gift Bag!

Sharing Creativity Now Event Splendid Day Suite Card 2

Today's Sending Hugs card from the Creativity Now event is a pretty one. I decided to add Stampin' Up!s card photo so you could compare it to mine.  No matter how closely you think you are following the teacher's directions, I think there is always going to be some artistic interpretation. LOL.

I also got a little heavy handed with the white craft ink and blending brush on the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder. Again, artistic interpretation!

This Splendid Day Suite will be available on July 1 in the new July to December 2022 Mini Catalog.

Sharing Creativity Now Event Splendid Day Suite Card 1

On Saturday, June 18, 2022 Stampin' Up! held an online event for demonstrators called Creativity NOW!  It was slated as a four hour event with a couple 15 minute breaks built in. They were introducing a new Suite that will be available on July 1 in the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. Demonstrators had the option to purchase the Spendid Day Suite ahead of time, so I did.

I have to say when I initially saw this Suite I wasn't a huge fan, but now that I've used it, it has grown on me. I wanted to stretch myself and give it a try. Over this coming week I'll be sharing all the projects I made and sharing how I changed them up a little bit.

The first card was a Wedding Card.

I thought I had everything I needed for this project, but it turned out I didn't, so I had to improvise just a little bit. I didn't have the Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends marker for the front of the card "wash" technique. My alternative solution was to use the reinkers and a water painter and create my own wash. I finished the card off with retired embellishments in Pool Party.

I really like this card with its soft colors. The demonstrator who was sharing this card idea said the leaves in this set are different varieties of eucalyptus.

If this card idea appeals to you, revisit this post after you have purchased this Suite on July 1 and have fun creating with it.
