Sharing Sunshine Stamp Set Cards #3

Is it hot where you are? It's currently 92 degrees here in the Pacific Northwest!  That is HOT! Yes, it got hotter at the end of June - up to 105 degrees, but it isn't usually that hot until this year! How can the Northwest be as HOT as the Southwest? I wish I knew!

That's why I chose sunny cards here this week! The weather forecaster made their prediction so I had to follow their forecast didn't I. Here's another fun card to make with the Sharing Sunshine set today! You might still need your sunglasses however! Mr. Sunshine isn't quite as bright as the first two cards I've shared this week, but he's still darling with his extra large fussy cut super-duper rays!

I was inspired by Hammond & Penny for the great sun rays idea, but the rest of the card is my design.

Why not give this card a shot? Check out these directions to recreate this card:

Start with Daffodil Delight card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"

Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (DSP) 4" x 5-1/2"

Coastal Cabana 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" strip, embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder

Using a 1/8" hole punch, punch two holes in the top of the banner, and with paper snips cut your own banner edge as shown in the photo.

8" piece of Coastal Cabana Ribbon comes from retired Play with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack
Raise the Banner up with Dimensionals

Three scrappy pieces of Basic White - 1) for you own fussy cut cloud, then stamp the birthday wishes from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink,  2) to stamp the face of the sun, and 3) to stamp the stamped rays image

1-1/4" and 2" Circle Punches

Piece of Daffodil Delight cut with 2-5/8" Layering Circle Die, then fussy cut into rays only 1/2" deep so you still have something to adhere to the other rays.

Glue the layers of the sun together and glue to banner.

The Cloud uses mini dimensionals to adhere to the card base and banner.

Embellished with some iridescent sequins I had in my collection

I hope you have fun with this design.

Pretty Enjoy the Moment Card

Here's a sweet card using the Enjoy the Moment stamp set. I cased this card design by Karen Day.

This is such a unique stamp set, but so cool because of the variety of seed pods the concept artist assembled into this set.  The line images stamp wonderfully!

Products used in this card which you can purchase at my online store button below:
Blushing Bride cardstock for base
Retired Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre 6x6 Designer Series Paper stack
Rococo Rose ink for seed pod layer
Small 1/2" strip of Blushing Bride with Banners Pick a Punch end
Sahara Sand cardstock and Painted Texture Embossing Folder
1-3/4" Circle Punch "Tag"
Tag inks were Merry Merlot and Blushing Bride
Retired 3/8" Blushing Bride Stitched Satin Ribbon
Elegant Faceted Gems

Cute inside corner accent. Doing this trick makes your card look so fancy!

So if you need something a little unique and different for your nature loving friends, then this stamp set would be perfect to get and treat them with cards made by YOU!

Happy Stamping!

Quick Valentines Card Layout for You

Earlier this month when my customers dropped by my garage for a "socially distanced" curb-side catalog pick up, I had a goodie bag waiting for them. With every catalog release one way I thank my customers for their loyalty is to include with their catalog(s) a party favor, some free "clearance rack" items, catalog wish list, class schedule, and this time I included parts and pieces for a make and take card with an invitation to join me on Zoom a few days later.

It was so much fun to see how everyone made their card from the same provided pieces.

Here's my sample, and yes, Valentines was on my mind.

Products I Used and Cutting Instructions:
Melon Mambo cardstock base - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Basic White layer cut 4" x 5-1/4" then embossed with Painted Texture Embossing Folder
Blushing Bride strip - 2-1/4" x 5-1/4"
Basic White strip - 2" x 5-1/4"
Melon Mambo piece cut with Scallop Oval from Layering Ovals Dies
Basic White cut with oval Stitched Shape Die stamped in Melon Mambo ink with greeting of your choice.
Two retired from long ago - Melon Mambo Enamel Dots
Meant to Be Stamp Set -  filigree heart stamped with Melon Mambo ink, Blushing Bride ink and Flirty Flamingo ink in a random pattern.
Oval label was raised up with Dimensionals

Many of these items can be purchased at my online store.

Here's some of  the card my attendees made. Don't they look great?!

Peggy S. did a landscape view and changed the mat to Basic Black.

Cherie M. had fun with some flowers and added some Designer Series Paper for the envelope flap.

Suzanne L. went with some butterflies including on the envelope flap.

Sue V. also had a floral idea.

So there you go! A fun and quick card layout you can use over and over again. You could even substitute the embossing folder layer with some Designer Series Paper for a totally different look!
Give it a try!

Happy Stamping!
