Happy Easter!

I don't know about you, but as a kid, my Easter Basket looked a lot like this! A pile of wrappers left over and a few smudges on my face.

I wish you a wonderful Easter however you celebrate it!

In Color Week with Parakeet Party

Here is In Color #5 - Parakeet Party! It seems almost a cross between neon green and the current Granny Apple Green. What do you think?

I had so much fun making this card for you. I love the look of tippy tea cups stacked together. I wanted them to "pop off" the card front so I used the strip of Basic Black mounted on Sweet Sorbet.

Can I tell you a secret? I used two adhesives on the tea cups. Mini Dimensionals at the top edge and Stampin' Seal for the base. That way the cups were angled and fit together better when stacked.

Here's my second tip - I wanted one of the teacups to be going in the other direction. I figured out I just needed to flip the Designer Paper over and die cut the cup on the reverse side and it would come out the way I wanted it when I flipped it over. I felt like a smarty pants for that! LOL

I thought my card needed just a little something more, so the addition of the two stamped and die cut mini flowers with pearl centers were perfect. The retired Stitched So Sweetly die set had the perfect die I needed which I think balances out the card so nicely.

I have loved using the Tea Boutique matching cards and envelopes! They are so much fun to work with and so easy to make a lot of cards at once.

Products used in my Card above:

Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes, Cup of Tea stamp set, Teacup Dies, Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper = Tea Boutique Suite

Basic Black and Sweet Sorbet cardstock and Sweet Sorbet ink pad, and two Pearl Jewels

Retired Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Basic White cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink,
Parakeet Party 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon

Adhesives used were Stampin' Seal, Mini Dimensionals and Glue Dots.

Tools used were the regular Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool, and Paper Snips.

In Color Week with Orchid Oasis

Say Hello to In Color Orchid Oasis. It has a purple-ly vibe to my eyes, but Stampin' Up! says it is a shade of blue. As each day passes I am enjoying working with these In Colors a lot. So many possibilities!

Here's the fun scrappy card I designed for you today. Whatever hunks of the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper you have, you can make this card front. You want three pieces to fit inside the 4" x 5.25" space on the card base. Those pieces can be angled, straight, torn, or however you can imagine.

In the close up below, I imagined dunking a "cookie" into the tea cup. Do you think it worked?

It is always fun to decorate your exterior envelope flap and add a 1/2" strip of the coordinating paper inside your card for a little extra pizzazz!

Products used in my Card above:

Cup of Tea stamp set, Teacup Dies, Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper

Orchid Oasis cardstock and ink pad, Layering Circles Dies, Basic White cardstock

Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon

Decorated Flap of Basic White Envelope

Adhesives used were Stampin' Seal, Mini Dimensionals, Glue Dots and scotch tape.

Tools used were the regular Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool, and Paper Snips.

In Color Week with Tahitian Tide

Welcome to our third color - Tahitian Tide!  It is very similar to the former Tempting Turquoise, but it is nice to have the Stampin' Blends be an option to select nowadays. Don't forget you'll be able to order these new products on May 3, 2022.

Here's today's Tea Boutique Suite creation! I think it would look great in any of the In Colors, but I do love this option.

In Color Week with Starry Sky

The second I learned about the new In Color Starry Sky, I immediately thought of my favorite piece of artwork by Vincent Van Gogh - The Starry Night. Comparing this painting to the In Color below it, I think you'll agree Stampin' Up! has named this new In Color appropriately.

Today's card share using the Tea Boutique Suite is a fun one with dancing teacups. Those dancing teacups would cheer me up for sure!

I stamped the stripes on a piece of the Designer Series Paper with Starry Sky ink then die cut out. The middle cup was die cut out with another design from the Designer Series Paper. The lower cup used Crushed Curry cardstock with the more detailed die cut image, layered on another die cut teacup with another design from the Designer Series Paper.

I had a happy discovery that the plain oval punch from the Double Oval Punch makes a small saucer for the teacup. Yesterday's Sweet Sorbet ink and cardstock were also incorporated into the card. It is finished off with the Starry Sky 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.

In Color Week with Sweet Sorbet

Last week here on the blog was so fun, creating and sharing cards made with the soon to be live Good Feeling Stamp Set.

This week it is all about the 2022-24 In Colors and today I'm starting with Sweet Sorbet! A lovely red that will be a welcome addition to your ink and cardstock families.

These items above are what I preordered as a demonstrator early. It was fun to photograph each color set.

The things I purchased - Cardstock (check). I always order the ink refill when I order a new ink pad (check). I was so excited to see that there are a new set of Stampin' Blends for each new In Color (check). The set of five Stampin' Write Markers are a welcome addition in case I ever need to touch up a place where some ink missed on a stamp (check). Lastly, the 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon is easy to tie and beautiful to look at, but not an exact color match for my eyes.

One of the items that was available on preorder was the Tea Boutique Suite Collection. It was on the top of my list! The Suite consists of the Cup of Tea Stamp Set, the Teacup Dies (see below), the Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and the matching set of Card bases and Envelopes to start playing with.

Each day this week, you'll be seeing another card I create with the "Color of the Day" using these products, plus whatever I add from my own stash.

Look at those fabulous images! I can't wait to use them all!

Products used in my Card above:

Using the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes were such a timesaver for me and will be for you too. (No cutting cardstock, scoring the cardstock or decorating the envelope flap with Designer Series Paper.)

So come back tomorrow to see the next In Color and my new card design with it.

Hip Hip Hooray For Good Feelings Week

Have you enjoyed seeing what the soon to be released Good Feelings Stamp Set can do? I had fun creating these cards for you this week. Be sure to place this stamp set on your wish list so you can order it on May 3, 2022.

There are also some products used in this card that will be retiring on May 2, 2022. They are the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper, Magenta Madness Ink, and the 2021-23 In Color Jewels.

I had to return to this Fun Fold to wrap up the week. Here is another version of the Double Bridge and Flip Card.
