Next November Christmas Card Stamp Camp Designs

These festive and fun cards will delight whomever receives them!  I get some of my inspiration from the wonderful people who share on  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/. Then I try to customize those ideas a bit.

Tempting Turquoise and Pear Pizazz make a darling snowman. Isn't it clever to use the snowflake punch for arms?

Shaker Card using the darling girl from the Gift Givers set.

Love the way you can flip over the Flirtatious Doilies and do so much with them. Silver Glitter paper accents the stamped stocking. Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green papers make this tall card.

Love this idea using two layers of stamps. First the Crumb Cake with the Very Vintage Jumbo Roller Stamp, then with Real Red using the Baroque Motifs swirls.

Where has the time gone?

Wow, here we are at the end of October, almost November. Well, school has been keeping me busy, but I've managed to fit in some card designing and holding some stamp camps. Here's some of the latest creations!
This card used a partial Ornament Stamp as a stencil for this sponged technique to create a vase.
Papers - Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, and Very Vanilla.

Good for Fall or Halloween giving!
Papers - Concord Crush, Pumpkin Pie, and Very Vanilla.

Using the Gently Falling set, and color scheme of Very Vanilla, Early Espresso,
Cherry Cobbler and Bashful Blue, this oversized card is truly elegant!

Simple and fun! Spider Web Embossing folder with color pencils on the verse.

Advent Calendar Kit Class Coming

Reserve Saturday, October 29 from 10 am- 4pm at my home to make a beautiful Advent Calendar that will become a treasured keepsake for your family.

I've got all the supplies you'll need to make the adorable 12 x 12 Advent Calendar shown in the Holiday Mini Catalog on page 36. The kit is $25, not including frame. If you'd like to bring you own frame you will need a 12x12 (no glass is necessary). I will be shopping for frames soon, so if you'd like to purchase one from me you can.

Please RSVP by October 21st so I can have all materials ready for you. Feel free to do two kits at the same time! Let's potluck a simple lunch and munchies to keep us going thru the day.  You may even get finished earlier than I estimate.  If you can bring your own roller adhesive I sure would appreciate it, since there is so much to glue!

There is room for 12 ladies to work throughout my house. Come, be part of the fun!!!
Send me an email, call me, or message me via facebook.

Discovered a New Magazine

I recently bought my first issue of Where Women Create  (Aug/Sept/Oct 2011) at Fred Meyer ($14.99), and oh my gosh, even though I've never paid that much for a magazine before, it is SO inspiring. It shares creative and inspiring work spaces from several "famous" women and in this issue, there's even one man, Tim Holtz! The reason I picked it up is that now my daughter and son-in-law have moved into their first home and she cleaned out quite a bit of her stuff in her old bedroom, I can now design my own creative workspace there!!! I'm so excited, but nervous because there are so many ways I could go with designing this space. I'm going to have to mull things over for a while and keep getting inspired by looking back through this magazine over and over. I may even have to do some antique store looking, as I can't decide if I want my space to be clean and modern or antique chic!

I'll close with one of many quotes from the magazine..."Creating takes courage. Everything you create reveals a little - or a lot - about yourself. Be brave and go for it."  (In Heather Bailey's article.)

Life is a Matter of Moments Card

This card was a swap I received at the Vancouver Regionals last February from a nice lady, but I have made it my own by heat embossing the Elements of Style flower in black. It's a little hard to see but I also dry embossed the Very Vanilla cardstock with one of the Texturz Plates from Background Set 1. It's an elegant card that could also be used for as a wedding card. Enjoy!

Thinking of You Card

This one uses the Flirtatious Designer Series Paper. You have to cut out the lacy doilies but it's worth it! My color scheme is Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, and Old Olive. It sure screams FUN doesn't it?

3 Fresh Flowers Card

Here's another twist using the Button Buddies stamp set. I can't get the photo to show the colors well, but I used the color scheme of Certainly Celery, Early Espresso, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, and assorted Designer Series Paper. The flower on the left is a stamp off from the Pumpkin Pie flower on the right. Calypso Coral is the flower in the middle. I used the white gel pen to accent the scallop border punch edge. The two flower accents are not SU, but you can get them at Joann's or Michaels.
