More Share Sunshine Card Designs

Do you ever have leftovers from other projects? I sure do, so these two cards were created but were sitting on my desk for a while without a sentiment. Luckily when the Share Sunshine pdf was offered by Stampin' Up! to purchase I jumped at the chance (see previous post), because in there were two perfect sentiments that look great on these cards so I finished them up.

Below each card I will post links to my online store of the products that are still current and available for purchase.

This beautiful Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper was only available during Sale-A-Bration earlier this year. These flowers were on the edge of the paper and I couldn't let them go to waste, so this card was one way to use them. I used the technique idea using a sponge dauber and the ink pad to give the soft coloring look. It is very easy to do on any stamped image. Another coloring technique of using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers would work for any stamped image as well. The color intensity would be darker and not as soft as the sponge dauber. (The embellishment is long retired.)

This card is built on a 3-1/2" x 5" Whisper White notecard. The 6"x 6" Best Dressed Designer Series Paper stack is perfect for this paper strip technique. You need a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and the piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) you like from the stack, both cut to 3" x 4-3/4" piece, then cut the DSP into 1" strips as shown. So easy to spread out and glue down. By having the extra Whisper White layer it is easy to wrap the ends of the ribbon around to tape on the back before you attach that layer to the notecard base.
