New Annual Catalog Launch Open House

It was awesome to hold my Tea Party and Open House Catalog Launch event over the weekend after two years of doing it in my garage due to pandemic restrictions.

I love spoiling my customers a bit by giving a brand new Annual Catalog, two Make and Takes, a goodie bag, and refreshments all for FREE! It is my way to say I appreciate you as my customer and to thank them for their previous purchases.

Each catalog included a Bookmark and Wish List.

The bookmarks contained the five new In Colors for 2022-24.
Combined the new ink and cardstock in each color.

Here's the Goody Bag each attendee received. A teacup treat box and a pack of new embellishments.

Here's what was inside of the teacup treat box. Tea, Chocolate and Biscuits!

Those three items fit perfectly inside of the "matchbox."

Here's one of the Make and Takes using the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes and the coordinating Cup of Tea Stamp Set, Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch, Sweet Sorbet Ink, and Starry Night Woven Metallic Ribbon,

The other Make and Take used the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes and the coordinating Cup of Tea Stamp Set, Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Granny Apple Green Ink, Brushed Brass Butterflies, and Starry Night Woven Metallic Ribbon. The Tea Pots were fussy cut out ahead of time.

The ladies loved the Make and Takes!

A small display of cards from the Tea Boutique Suite, Hues of Happiness Suite and the Good Feelings Stamp Set. Other stamp sets I purchased on Pre Order were also on display.

My refreshments were Sweet Tea to drink, mini Cranberry and Orange muffins with orange glaze, Lemon pudding cake slices, honey roasted peanuts, and butter mints. The ladies loved the selection.

Maybe next year I can spoil you too!

Have a lovely day being creative!

Bouquet of Hope - Feb. 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternate Designs

This Paper Pumpkin kit had so many possibilities in it. I just couldn't stop creating. The kit was supposed to be sympathy, but I wanted a wider variety of card sentiments.

So if you received your kit, but haven't put it together yet, I hope my ideas here will
inspire you in your cardmaking.

Here's the pieces that came in the kit.

This kit was also designed to coordinate with the Jan.-Feb. Sale-a-Bration product
called Flower and Field Designer Series Paper.

My absolute favorite part of the kit was the laser cut "Thinking of You" words. I used a product called Press and Seal (it's like the plastic wrap you put over food dishes, only stickier) to help pick the words up from their frame and keep them intact. It worked great!

In this top group of cards, I put the words on a piece of Basic White cardstock, then fussy cut them out.

Then I took the negative image of the words and fussy cut around that, glued them down to a piece of the Flower and Field DSP. I quickly realized that the tiny bits from the inside of the letters would not be secure unless I placed them under a piece of window sheet. So that is what I did! I love how the oval die cut really pops that greeting.

Here's a close up of the window sheet usage.

Since the laser cut words also came in French and German, I was able to cut out the word "be" from those and paired it with a previous Paper Pumpkin stamp to create the cute "be you".
I also used other stamps and leftover bits and pieces from previous kits for some of my tags.

Now you may be noticing that I have two different shades of the floral images. That's because  I had to have more of them! I used my computer printer to make one set of color "reproduction" images. I also used my Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends to brighten up some of the florals.

The part of the kit I struggled with a bit were the gold laser cut doilies. They were beautiful, just too much gold for me in one place. So I tended to cut them into smaller pieces or even flip them over to show the white reverse side.

I also used the Oh So Ombre Jan.-Feb. Sale-a-bration Paper Stack, and the 2020-2022 InColors Paper Stack to stretch the color palette. Some of the printed envelope liners were also used in these cards. Some very retired Enamel Embellishments were used throughout these cards as well.

If you haven't already subscribed for your own Paper Pumpkin subscription, you should! You get so much value out of each month's kit. Especially when you have fun creating alternates.
The kit costs $22 per month and you can sign up here!

If you would like to purchase any of these cards, I have them posted in my Etsy store.

Happy Stamping and being creative!

3 Days of Last Chance Ideas #1

This first round of Sale-a-Bration 2021 is coming to an end on Feb. 28, so I wanted to share three of my "last chance" card ideas over the next three days with my readers.

Today's design is for the casual cardmaker. I am highlighting the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper, the Punch Party Stamp Set, and the Rectangular Postage Stamp punch.

The Colors used were Pacific Point cardstock and ink, and Poppy Parade ink. Inside the card, the liner is Basic White with a 1/2" strip of the Designer Series Paper added for accent. I fussy cut the strawberries and leaves out of the Designer Series Paper. The only retired item I used was the enamel dots from long ago (I bought way too many of those, but they are coming in handy every now and then!)

Each piece of the card front DSP is 2-5/8" x 4"
The accent strip is 1" x 4"
Basic White liner is 4" x 5-1/4" and a scrap for the tag

Here's some additional details:
The Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper is part of a set matched with the Berry Blessings Stamp Set that you can earn free with a $100 US order before shipping and tax.
The Punch Party Stamp Set is a free item if you host a workshop or have your own wish list that has combined sales or order total of $300 US or more before shipping and tax.

Go to my online store to purchase items that are on your stamping wish list, so that you can earn one or more of these free Sale-a-Bration items before the promotion ends.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Happy Stamping!

Flowers for Every Season Love Card

The new Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch is so versatile. You can make many pretty cards with this tool. It is a great way to use up scraps of Designer Series Paper that you may have hanging around. This card was inspired by Tracy Bradley.

Let's Create this Card!
1. Bumblebee cardstock base cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
2. Magenta Madness layer cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
3. Whisper White layer cut at 3-11/16" x 4-15/16" embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
4. Punch 2 rectangles from your choice of Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.
5. Punch 2 rectangles from Just Jade cardstock, embossing them with the Greenery folder.
6. Adhere rectangles to Whisper White layer as shown.
7. Stamp your greeting in Magenta Madness ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock. My greeting came from Peaceful Moments stamp set. Then punch out. Raise up with dimensionals and place in center of card.
8. Finish by embellishing with the 2020-22 InColor Enamel Dots.
