Three Times the Fun Double Pocket Card

If you have a special friend who needs a little pick me up, then this is the perfect card design for them. I learned about this layout from Cindy Westerink.

This Double Pocket Card packs three times the fun in it. You get to write two messages on the small cards you place in the front two pockets or you could add gift cards into the pockets. Then you still have an entire inner card to write another message on. Three messages in one card. Cool!

You make this card from one piece of Designer Series Paper that you cut to 8-1/2" x 11". There are so many possibilities of cards you can make using Stampin' Up!s double-sided Designer Series Papers!

Be sure to use some Tombow multipurpose glue to affix the folded flaps down and on sides where the pocket cards go.

Card front with matching envelope flap. I used the retired Magic in the Night Designer Series Paper and the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. Black and White combinations are so striking and beautiful! The retired Metallic Mesh Ribbon makes the card look extra pretty and keeps it closed.

Use the Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut your Basic White pieces. Use the second and third largest dies. Then you'll need Basic Black cardstock for the smaller rectangle cut at 3-1/4" x 4-5/8" and for the larger rectangle cut 3-5/8" x 5".

In Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the images shown from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. The larger pocket card has a couple roses stamped at the lower edges.

Inner Basic White Layer is cut 4" x 5-1/4" waiting for your personal message.

Follow the two diagrams below to fold your piece of Designer Series Paper into the proper shape.

Start with the image below, followed by the next image below that, and you'll have this fun fold pocket card figured out in no time!

Finish the pocket layers with an embellishment of your choice. Then deliver it to your special friend!
I'd love to know in the comments if you've ever tried this fun fold before.

Awesome Paper Blooms Pocket Card

Have you tried a Pocket Card yet? It has been a long time since I made one. I was reminded of the card style by Debbie Henderson recently. The Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper is one of the items you can get FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 purchase before tax and shipping. That's a value of $11.50!

Pocket Cards are a unique style. They will lean against a prop but won't stand on their own unless you have a very small easel to hold it. But that's okay, right? They are too cute to pass up making one, or several!

Another FREE Sale-a-Bration item used in this card is the Approaching Perfection stamp set. Approximate value $16.00.

The flat inner card pulls out of the "pocket" outer card.
