Recording My Recipe

Based on Roald Dahl's book The BFG (Big Friendly Giant), I made "frobscottle" and "snozzcumbers" for my 5th grade class. Frobscottle is 50% vanilla cream soda and 50% raspberry soda (from Walmart) colored with green food dye. Snozzcumbers were regular and cocoa mixed rice krispy treats formed into "cucumbers" (half of a 9x13 pan cut lengthwise) then frosted with vanilla icing for a crumb coat,  wrapped in black fondant, sprinkled with powdered sugar. They can be chilled or served at room temperature. The snozzcumbers were sliced into 3/4" slices and served. My students absolutely LOVED this treat to celebrate our reading of this wonderful piece of children's literature.
