Sharing Sunshine Stamp Set Cards #2

Got your sunglasses back on? Today's clean and simple card is one of the most cheery Birthday cards I've made in a long time.

I was inspired by a similar layout from Anne Marie Hile, but I made it my own in several ways. I participate in a Facebook Random Acts of Kindness Birthday Card Club so some lucky person will be receiving this card soon! I hope it brightens their day!

If you want to make this card here's what you'll need:

Today's color scheme is Daffodil Delight, Polished Pink, Coastal Cabana and Basic White. Using the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (DSP) as a layer just brightens up this card so much!

Card base:
Daffodil Delight card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" - scored at 4-1/4"
Polished Pink layer 4 x 5-1/4"
Pattern Party DSP 3-3/4" x 5"

Middle Layers:
Daffodil Delight layer 3" x 4"
Coastal Cabana piece  1-1/4" x 3-3/4"
Basic White piece to begin with 2-3/4 x 3-3/4" then trimmed down with your hand drawn puffy clouds. Fussy cut the clouds out and adjust the Coastal Cabana and Basic White clouds until they measure 2-3/4" total in height. Use your favorite adhesive to connect them together.

With small pieces of Basic White, stamp the face and rays images. Sun face - Daffodil Delight ink. Memento Tuxedo Black ink for facial features, and Polished Pink ink for the rosy cheeks and sun rays. Mr. Sunshine again used the trick of punching out the stamped face with a 1-1/4" circle punch and layering it on the fussy cut Polished Pink rays. He's so cute!

A piece of Polished Pink 3/8" organza ribbon was wrapped around the Polished Pink and Designer Series Paper layers, then adhered to the Daffodil Delight card base.

Mr. Sun was raised with dimensionals for a bit of POP!  The It's My Party Enameled Dots are retired but you can use any embellishment you like. I liked the Coastal Cabana color as a nice match.

I was thinking this card design would also make a fun birthday card for a child or grandchild. Do you agree? Let me know in the comments.
