Feb. 4-5, 2012 Stamp Camp

Now I'm almost caught up with my postings. February is a great month for Stampin' Up because you have 3 catalogs to wish upon. There's still lots of wonderful items to wish for in the main Idea Book & Catalog, then the Occasions-Mini is good until April 24, and lastly it's Sale-a-Bration time until March 31! During SAB for every $50 you spend you get to choose an item from the SAB catalog for free!
Also during SAB Stampin' Up has lowered the price for the Starter Kit to $125 (that's a $50 savings! plus there's more free goodies each month for your first entire year!) It's a great time to be part of the Stampin' Up family!

Here's the designs we will make for February's Stamp Camp. These cards continue to use product from the new Occasions-Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration catalog. So much cute product to play with I can't stop myself!

Here's my next attempt at a masculine birthday card using the Zoo Review set. Color scheme is Basic Black, Real Red, Basic Gray, and Striped DSP in light gray. There is black satin ribbon running through the two layers of the Label Collection Framelits.  I think it works!

A sweet Be My Valentine card using Soft Suede card base, topped with Crumb Cake and Melon Mambo layers. The stamp came from the Holiday Mini set called Festive & Fun. I handcolored with SU markers in a variety of pinks and red. Topped it off with the Melon Mambo striped ribbon and an antique brad.

This Hello card uses Baja Breeze card base, a layer of Sale-a-Bration DSP called Everyday Enchantment, Baja Breeze Pleated Ribbon, then a SAB set called Elementary Elegance where I heat embossed the image with the new Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, then I carefully punched out the window with the Curly Label punch. Finally I stamped Hello in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla and affixed it behind the window. Using the Corner Rounder, I finished the 4 card corners.

Unfortunately this card photo didn't turn out well. You'll have to believe me when I say it really is beautiful! The color scheme is Real Red dry embossed with the polka dot folder. Then a strip of dark gray DSP striped paper offset to the side. The scallop circle was embossed first with the Finial Press folder, then die cut with the Scallop Circle #2 die. Next comes the two circle punches 1-3/8" in Real Red, 1-1/4" with sentiment from You're A Gem set. Punch out large heart in red glimmer paper, and small heart in silver glimmer paper. Lastly thread the 1/8" Real Red taffeta ribbon through the clasp of the key trinket and affix to card front. Very lovey-dovey!
