You Will be able to Make this Holiday Side Step Fun Fold Card with the Trucking Along Bundle and the Soon To Be Available Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper Real Soon!

My preorder for the Sept.- Dec. 2023 Mini Catalog arrived a couple days ago. (This is one of the perks of being a demonstrator, you can get products a month ahead of the catalog release.)

My focus this week has been the Trucking Along Bundle and when I saw up close the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) in my order, I knew I had to make a Christmas Card to share with all of you!

I present to you this Side Step Fun Fold Card using the color combination of Real Red and Shaded Spruce with the Joy of Christmas DSP, the Trucking Along Bundle, and another new stamp set called Sending Cheer (that's where the greeting came from on the card front. )

In addition I used the Nested Essential Dies and Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels, too.

I just LOVE the combination of the two patterns from the Joy of Christmas DSP.

My hubby drives a red Ford pickup, so it was natural to make this card with a Real Red truck.

The Side Step Fun Fold is actually two pieces of cardstock that makes the card base.

For the Base - Shaded Spruce cut 5 1/2" x 8", scored at 3", 6", 7"
Joy of Christmas DSP - Green Plaid - 2 7/8" x 5 3/8" and 7/8" x 5 3/8"
Adhere these pieces to base.

For the additional Front Piece - Shaded Spruce cut 3" x 6", score at 4 1/4"
Joy of Christmas DSP - Leaves and Berries cut 2 7/8" x 4 1/8"
Adhere DSP to Front piece.

To attach both pieces together, put adhesive on the inside bottom of the front piece only 1/2" wide. Then place bottom of adhesive to line up with bottom of base about 1/2" in from the left edge.
Close the card completely flat then adhere the other end of the front piece with only 1/4" wide amount of adhesive and press to back of card. The Basic White greeting section will be added later.

What is hard to see is I stamped two red trucks. One on the Tag itself, so I could get the tree positioned in the bed of the truck. Then I wanted some dimension, so I stamped another red truck and used the Truck Builder punch to punch it out and raised that truck up on dimensionals. I love the result!

Truck Tag is die cut with Nested Essentials Dies
Shaded Spruce - 2 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Basic White - 2 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Then on the Basic White tag stamp the first truck outline in Memento Ink, then use Real Red ink to stamp and fill in truck body color.
Tree in bed of truck is 2 stamps- 1) Shaded Spruce ink is stamped off once for the lighter overall tree, then 2) Outline stamp is full strength Shaded Spruce. Finish with stamping the "Sending Cheer" in upper left corner of tag at an angle in Shaded Spruce ink.
Adhere the two layers together.

On another 1 1/2" x 3" piece of Basic White stamp just the truck again - Outline in Memento, Body with Real Red ink. Use a Stampin' Write Basic Black Marker to hand color in the tires and axle.
Then punch truck out with Truck Builder Punch.
Affix this truck on dimensionals and place it on top of the previous truck image.

To affix tag to card front you will place several dimensionals along the bottom and left side of the tag and place it on the card base referring to photo placement.

For Back of Card - Basic White 2 7/8" x 5 3/8"
Joy of Christmas DSP - Leaves and Berries 1/2" x 5 3/8"

The sentiment here is part of the Trucking Along stamp set. Stamp greeting in Real Red ink.
Adhere strip of DSP to Basic White before adhering and placing entire piece to card back.

Envelope Flap 2 3/8" x 6" from the Joy of Christmas DSP. Adhere to exterior envelope flap and trim off excess with paper snips.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope this card inspired you!

The Truck Builder punch has a circle included in the punch so I used those extra circles for the inner card design. Fun and colorful!

It is always a great idea to put a piece of matching Designer Series Paper on the exterior envelope flap for a matching set to mail or give.

I hand colored the black wheels and axle with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, as I found I was more accurate doing it that way, but there is a stamp included in the set just for this purpose.

Give this card a try and have fun with it!

Stampin' Up!s Trucking Along Bundle Paired with the Biggest Wish Stamp Set Makes Fun, Bold Feminine Birthday Card

With the latest release of new products in the Online Store, called Online Exclusives, included was the Trucking Along Bundle (stamp set and punch - save 10%) that is just so cute I had to have it.

I was feeling nostalgic because there has been a pickup truck in my life for a lot of years! First my childhood truck was a Chevy, and then my husband's love of Fords (with one GMC thrown in for good measure.) He has had the whole Ford line up from one time to another, an F-150, F-250, and now we have an F-350 that has been with us the longest.

Even though I don't really know which manufacturer inspired the concept artist who drew this truck, it definitely gives a feeling of nostalgia.

Birthday Cards are always a needed item when you love to send cards like I do, so I thought let's make a bold birthday card, and this was my result. I love how it POPS! The colors are Bubble Bath, Berry Burst, and Basic White. (I almost called this a Barbie card since I saw the movie recently with so much PINK in it!)

If you look closed at the Truck Builder Punch above you'll see a circle as part of the designs. Now I think that might actually supposed to be a tire, but since I was using the Bright and Beautiful DSP, I thought those dots would look great as an inner card decoration. Do you agree?

As always I encourage you to add a piece of the DSP to your envelope flap for a glam card set to send to a loved one or dear friend.

I hand colored the tires and axle with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. There is a stamp for this purpose, but I find I don't always line the little pieces up well, so I decided hand coloring would be easier for me.
