Seed Pod Thanksgiving Card

Do you love to play with color? I do! I was inspired by the Colour Inspiration Challenge Facebook Group recently and more specifically the card submitted by The Crafty Owl from the UK.  I loved how she used the seed pods from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set.

So I started with the color and card idea then worked on giving it my own take for the Thanksgiving card below.

Products Used to Create this Card:

Early Espresso cardstock card base

retired Gilded Autumn DSP - stamped first with retired Hand Penned Holidays stamp set, then run thru with the Tasteful Texture EF - adhere to card base.

Basic White cardstock piece for inner card  4x5-1/4

retired Champagne Foil 2 x 5-1/4

Basic White 1-7/8 x 5-1/4
using the SAB Textures and Frames stamp set "blob" image. start in the middle of the basic white strip and stamp Crushed Curry blob, move to right Cinnamon Cider, and just a small portion of a blob in Pool Party. Moving to the left of the Crushed Curry, stamp Pool Party, then small piece of Cinnamon Cider.

Using the seed pod images shown from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set and Early Espresso ink stamp the images as shown.

Adhere the Champagne foil and stamped basic white layer together. Take the Bumblebee gingham ribbon and wrap it around the two layers and tie a square knot. Trim ribbon ends. Raise up on dimensionals.

Now you have a lovely, unique, nature-inspired Thanksgiving card to give to loved ones. Let them know how grateful you are for them being in your life!

Grateful 12 x 12 Fall Sampler with Embellishments

Today we finish up our Fall Sampler! I think you'll see below how much of a difference Embellishments and a nice frame make for your sampler.

Before Embellishments above

After below, framed and better lighting for my photo. (It's been raining here in the Pacific Northwest these last few days!)

White 12 x 12 Shadow Box frame was purchased from Michael's Craft Store on sale.

At least one element in each square is raised up on dimensionals.

A variety of Embellishments and Baker's Twine was used in the photos above and below.
Holiday Rhinestones Jewels
Metallic Enamel Shapes
Frosted Epoxy Droplets
Mint Macaron Striped Thick Baker's Twine
Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine
Crushed Curry Baker's Twine
Gold Faceted Gems
Genial Gems
Faceted Dots

The three veined leaves directly below were also colored with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers to accentuate the veins on the leaves. Mossy Meadow on the dark Early Espresso leaf. Light Cajun Craze on the Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze leaves.

I hope you have enjoyed this project, however yours ended up turning out. Beautiful and something you are happy with! To me, the hardest part is getting all the squares lined up in the first place!

I'd love to see how yours turned out. Post your photo in the comments under my post about this project at

Enjoy the Moment Seed Pods Card Idea #3

Welcome back for another card you can make with the Enjoy the Moment stamp set. This color combo is soft and quiet, but still has a pop of color to accent the variety of seed pods shown.
I was inspired by Sara Wood's layout.

The card base is Sahara Sand cardstock with a layer of Soft Suede cardstock. Crumb Cake ink provides the softness for the trio of stamped images randomly spaced around for the top layer background.
The Garden Green ink helps the fussy cut Lotus seed pod stand out. It is surrounded with two Merry Merlot ink fussy cut Bottle Brush seed pods. After you use a couple glue dots to hold the three pods together, they are tied with a bit of the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. Another piece of trim goes around the top layer.
The cute tag uses the Banners Pick a Punch and is stamped with Merry Merlot ink for the greeting. Just slide it under the pods to finish the card exterior.

Here's the fun images on the inner Very Vanilla cardstock layer. It's a surprise waiting to be opened!

A decorated envelope would also look great with this card and be ready to give at a moment's notice.
Have fun with this idea and Happy Stamping!

Pretty Enjoy the Moment Card

Here's a sweet card using the Enjoy the Moment stamp set. I cased this card design by Karen Day.

This is such a unique stamp set, but so cool because of the variety of seed pods the concept artist assembled into this set.  The line images stamp wonderfully!

Products used in this card which you can purchase at my online store button below:
Blushing Bride cardstock for base
Retired Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre 6x6 Designer Series Paper stack
Rococo Rose ink for seed pod layer
Small 1/2" strip of Blushing Bride with Banners Pick a Punch end
Sahara Sand cardstock and Painted Texture Embossing Folder
1-3/4" Circle Punch "Tag"
Tag inks were Merry Merlot and Blushing Bride
Retired 3/8" Blushing Bride Stitched Satin Ribbon
Elegant Faceted Gems

Cute inside corner accent. Doing this trick makes your card look so fancy!

Dear Husband, I Made this Card for YOU!

My  dear hubby's birthday is coming up soon and I hadn't made him a card yet, so  I thought I'd try a  subtle, classic design using the Enjoy the Moment stamp set and
the Well Suited Designer Series Paper.

I made two slightly different versions shown here.

I had accidentally stamped a little halo in one spot, so luckily the greeting tag covered it up very nicely.

A sneak peek inside of the maple leaf pod on the inside that I put on both cards.

Here's the cutting dimensions:
Card base 4-1/4" x 11"
Solid Layer cardstock 3-3/4" x 4-1/2"
Designer Series Paper 3-1/2" x 4"
Solid Layer cardstock 2-1/4" x 4-3/4"
Stamped Image cardstock 2" x 4-1/2"
Solid Layer Cardstock for tag 3/4" x 2-1/2"
Basic White tag strip 1/2" x 2-1/4"
Basic White for inner card layer 4" x 5-1/4"

Designer Series Paper Flap for Envelope 2-3/4" x 6"

Have fun creating with these eight pieces of paper to make a lovely card for any occasion! It is also a great way to use up some smaller pieces of your Designer Series Papers.

Happy Stamping!
