Fold-Up, Fold- Over, Peek-a-Boo Fun Fold Card

Patty Bennett was the original sharer of this fun fold card when she went to Stampin' Up! headquarters in Riverton, Utah to celebrate her two million in sales earlier this year. She produced a similar card with Shelli Gardner, founder, and Sara Douglas, CEO.

Then, my demo friend, Lori brought her idea of this fun fold to share with Anne and me when we were together for OnStage at Home in November.  So we had learning this new fun fold together.

Here's the Fold-Up, Fold-Over, Peek-a-Boo Fun Fold Technique!

It isn't hard at all to make. You start with a full sheet of cardstock.
Score at 5-1/2" on the 11" side, then 4-1/4" on the 8-1/2" side. With the paper in a landscape/horizontal orientation, cut off the bottom left section.

Next, you'll need to gather 3 different but coordinating 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (now retired) as my choice. The card base was Old Olive Cardstock.

In the section that will be the front of the card, glue one of your DSP pieces just on the perimeter edge, so the middle will be loose, and adhere to the cardstock. With the second to the largest of the Scalloped Contour Dies, carefully die-cut that section only.  When the die-cutting is done you should end up with two pieces available to use elsewhere in your card (1 piece the Old Olive cardstock and the other the DSP.)

Using the 3rd largest Scalloped Contour Dies, die-cut three pieces of Basic White cardstock. Using the Art Gallery stamp set  (retired) and Flirty Flamingo ink and Old Olive ink, stamp the floral images as you see in my sample. Add your chosen greeting for the front of the card on one of the Basic White pieces.

Then you can assemble your layers using my photo as your reference guide.
Be sure to use a bone folder to really crease your folds. If the section that folds up into the middle of the card doesn't quite lay flat you can trim a tiny bit off the inner side where the other flap folds on top of it.

Don't forget to decorate your envelope flap or stamp one of the floral images on the lower left front corner of the envelope.

I bet your card looks fabulous! Whoever receives your masterpiece will love it I'm sure!
Thanks for visiting today!

August Stamp and Chat Class Cards #1

Two weeks ago I shared here on my blog, four cards made with the Sharing Sunshine stamp set. (Check out those posts, too.) Today's and tomorrow's posts are the final two cards I made using this stamp set.

Today's card was one of six I offered at this past weekend's Stamp and Chat classes that I have monthly in my home. We had a blast with 10 ladies spread over three sessions. I'll be sharing the other cards this week here.

This card's layout was cased from Hammond and Penny, but I changed it up a bit to be able to use the Stamparatus for the Biggest Wish stamp set words and changed up the color scheme. It is so awesome to be able to switch out the plates of the Stamparatus and set your stamps wherever you want them to go! My customers love the ease of getting precise stamping every time!

Here's my sunflowers in my garden, so no wonder I wanted to make some cards like sunflowers!

Here's the materials you need to make this card:

Sharing Sunshine Stamp Set
Pale Papaya Card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Polished Pink layer 4" x 5-1/4"

Polished Pink and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Retired Art Gallery Designer Series Paper (but you can us whatever orangy paper you have)

1-1/4" Circle Punch or Circle Die
Polished Pink and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for face

I'd love to read your comments about this card, just click below.

Have a fabulous SUNNY day!
